Shiva Temple in ruins.. With a few visitors around and no maintenance seems we have left this place to be lost in time. Markanda is one of many hidden jewels in Central Inida but due to govt. apathy there is lack of proper maintenance and facilities at these spots. Our govt. needs to do more to promote Markanda and other historical places of Central Inida and offer basic amenities to tourists.
