The efforts taken by the railways to create this museum must be appreciated. You will like the place if you have travelled in narrow or meter gauge and become nostalgic. If one is looking for a evening out with family and kids, Narrow Gauge Rail Museum is an option worth a try. The place is complete with a wonderful museum, a fountain, and a park for kids. We particularly enjoyed the toy train ride.

Nice place to see old engines. There are also kept artifacts from different departments on Railways, like Bogies, Electrical, Signaling systems. They have restaurant designed within a rail boggy which is said to be revolving.

The SE rly built rail museum on Kamptee Road, Nagpur , was the example of the apathy of Railway, being located on prime area on huge tract of land, it was never properly maintained each time I visited . The cleanliness and upkeement is worse.
