This is one of the best beaches I have been on in this part of France. The sand is white and the sea is crystal clear. This beach has become very popular since I last visited way back in the 90s. They now charge one to get a parking space. However it is well worth a visit.

extra long extra wide all natural white sand beach along side sand dunes... Incredibly picturesque, great to jog or to sun tan, isolate yourself and spend a day "au naturel"

We have three children and a beach with sand is a must for us. Espiguette Beach has plenty of sand for building castles. There were lots of people right at the car park entrance. Just walk a short way down and you will find more space. If you stay between the car park entrances there are less people. (People seem... More

Fabulous stretch of unspoilt beach on the opposite side of the bay from Montpellier. Need a car to get there and we ran into jams getting there on a sunny summer weekend. But definitely worth the bother. There is a beach restaurant Les Pieds Nus which very good on the piece we went to, by chance it has to be... More

I agree with the post “Directions to the Beaches at Montpellier” but the bus now leaves from a different place. You still need to take tram line 1 but get off at the penultimate stop "Place de France" to catch the 106 bus, rather than the earlier "Port Marianne" stop as that post says. I wandered around "Port Marianne" looking... More

Huge clean beach. Sea clean but can be choppy. hardly ever crowded, but kite surfers can be annoying. Parking horrendously expensive.

what a place, if the sun shines you are in heaven, lovely lovely place. Great food not too bad value given location and very friendly staff that must love working here whats not to like. Always busy you should book in advance. Group of 6 and not a single piece of food or glass of the several different beverages we... More

Following winter storms Espiguette has changed. 600+ parking places have been lost at the naturist end. Cap Sud has been relocated and is not on the naturist beach so it is no longer possible for naturists to hire transats and parasols. The first part of the naturist beach is wider although it is now 250 metre walk from the car... More
