We paid for a guide to show us round the Spice Gardens but really, it was just a few terraces with labelled plants. Although our guide was very knowledgable I felt we didn't really see anything remarkable.

The Tropical Spice Gardens is fanatstic to visit whether youre doing a cooking class or not. I went for a cooking class. There were specific dishes I wanted to learn which weren't all available on one day with the regular cooking classes so I opted to do a private class where I could be taught one-on-one.

We took the guided tour with some other tourists and really enjoyed it. Very informative and interesting as you get to understand spices and herbs. A beautiful garden set on a small hill, a nice way to spend some time away from the hotel pool. We really love gardening and plants, but if you are not interested in knowing about...

Pearly, our cooking instructor taught us 3 Nyona dishes, and was a lively and informative teacher. The food was...

We dropped by this hidden gem in Penang after visiting the Butterfly farm (another great place to see). The thing that impressed me most was the lack of any commercial feel to the place. The gardens were well maintained and just a pleasure to be in. The surroundings were serene and beautiful. After wandering around for a while, you can...
