We spent 3 solid hours in the spice garden and loved it! The setting is beautiful and serene, and the audio guides and sign posts give excellent information on the different plants, such as their use and the origin of their names. Highly recommend a visit! Easily rached by public transport from Georgetown (bus number 101 stops in front of... More

First of all, we don't get the pricing at all... Rm26 for an entry to a simple garden? And on top of that, the staffs were very rude and loud. Wasted our effort to drive 40 mins. Truly wasteful.

We took bus #101 from a downtown bus terminal. We were really happy to have desided on the guided tour, as we had lots of questions. Our guide had a wealth of knowledge about traditional uses of the plants and spices, both medicinal and in cooking, all of great interest to us.

We visited immediately after a storm so it was cool and refreshing. The Spice Gardens are educational and interesting and the audio tour included in the admission price offers an insight into the plants and wildlife in the park. It was fun trying to spot the birds, dragonflies and reptiles. We ate in Tree Monkey which is the gardens own... More

Visited this place on Sept 18th with my parents and younger siblings (8, 10, and 13 year olds) and they really enjoyed this place. It was noon when we went but there's a lot of trees so it wasn't that hot. The trail wasn't that long and there was a small place (near the end of the trail) where they... More

So much to see and learn, almost information overload. We were there for almost two hours and I could have stayed for longer. Probably helps that I love to cook and walked away with so many new ideas for uses spices. I am normally eaten alive by Mosquitos but here no issues. The spray they give you when you arrive... More

A must for anyone who is visiting Penang Island! We took part in a Tropical Spice Garden cooking course that focused on nyonya specialties with the wonderful and entertaining instructor Pearly Kee, an expert in nyonya cooking. The cooking course also gave us admission to the spice garden and we had a wonderful tour by a very knowledgeable guide. A... More

Interesting gardens that you can't see in Singapore. Nice pond along the walk way with water lilies. Worth a visit seriously.
