Do you want to explore and learn something about the plants and animal life of Penang while getting some nice exercise? This is a great escape to do just that! We took the family and had a great time learning about the different plants and animal life - especially the plants that are used for eating and helping to cure... More

A very relaxing setting with many many plants and an excellent audio tour to explain them. I would highly suggest visiting here if you have the time. One of the better things we did outside of the food scene in Georgetown.

An enjoyable morning or afternoon can be spent here, wandering the steps and pathways of this lovely garden, and wondering at all the spices. Lovely gift shop and lovely bar/restaurant too! You should visit!!

Guided tours are available, and I think this would be a good option to make the most of the gardens. We were limited for time so had to make our own way round. The gift shop was well-stocked, though... More

Lovely gardens, well laid out, gently climb, good photo opps. The shop was a bit disappointing in range of things for sale but the cafe did a sensational mango coconut rice pudding and toilets were REALLY clean.

The Tropical Spice Garden is high on my list of places I take visiting friends to. This is one of the most peaceful, quiet and beautiful spots in Penang, away from the bustle of Georgetown. Take the time to stroll on the well cared paths, stop at the boutique to stock up on spices, gifts, and local produce (natural soaps... More

As per the title ..... I (we...extended family of 6 adults) concur with other reviewers as to the "breath of fresh air" this tour brings... The guides love their job, it seems and can communicate this via a meaningful education session whilst having sea/ocean/ bush/jungle views.... so serene....wonderful place to have time out from the hustle and bustle of penang...
