Smaller than we anticipated but still lovely to spend an hour wandering around the jungle setting. The scent as you enter this place is beautiful. The entrance fee is reasonable as the place is well kept and informative. They give out audio tour handsets which are helpful if you want every detail, or like us, just wanted to dip in... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our early morning tour of the Tropical Spice Garden, followed by a very personalized cooking class. The instruction and facility were tops! Our lunch - prepared by us (with help from the instructor and her assistants - was delicious!

There's nothing much to see and enjoy. Basically the place may generate interest among researchers and herbalists but not tourists unless you are into herbs. Unlike other parks which have many facilities, this one doesn't have much except a hut with a kitchen. Not my kind of place.

Although the gardens are quite a distance for the city it well worth a visit. The gardens are shady and its a peaceful walk around. Too many spices to name however a map and audio tour are provided

Beautiful setting, well kept garden and you will also see some spice growing too. Nice and shady even though it was a warm day. Takes 20 min by taxi from Georgetown but allow for an hour to wander around. Just past Batu Ferringhi beach

It actually located quite a distance from the town. There's 2 ways to get there.Either you can take the local Rapid Penang bus 101 ( stop just right in front of it) or you can flag a cab. We took the guided tour which last approx. 45 mins. The guide was really informative. Had fun learn the interesting story about... More

Seems like the entrance fee has been revised. Its 26 RM and it comes with an audio tour. Its a nice walk around the garden. You dont have to follow the route given in the map they will provide u. Your walk will end at a restaurant. Nice way to rest your feet after.

The garden itself is a very interesting place to visit as it looks like a small jungle by itself and has many interesting and beautiful plants growing there. But it's not really the place where you can learn much about the spices or really see them as the spices plants part is not taken care of which makes it very... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Tropical Spice Garden, which is located at the far end of Batu Feringhi beach. You can have an audio guide, but we opted for the slightly more expensive tour with a guide and this was a great choice. Elaine was knowledgeable and informative and picked several leaves to crush, so that we could... More
