My husband is here on business for four months, and I just came to join him for a long visit. We hired a known driver to him and toured the island for the day. The driver's name was Eddie and he recommended some stops. We stopped at the garden around 11:00. It was stifling hot. It is a tropical rainforest... More

we tried to take a bus to the place but unfortunately we took the wrong bus. we cannot talk much with the driver, so you guys must be careful when asking the bus driver about your destination.

This is a definite must see in Penang. Beautiful rainforest botanical gardens with everything from coffee to bananas and more. With hidden trails and seductive touches such as hammocks and 2 seated swings, this is a wonderful place to while away a few hours. Complimentary herbal tea can be found at a rest stop within the garden. Tips: bring insect... More

I thought it was a bit far out of the way (about a 50RM taxi ride from Georgetown), but it was worth our trip. Our guide provided us with amazing information, made us smell/taste spices & tea and spoke about Malaysian traditions and culture. Although it was scorching hot, the walk through the path was lovely and entertaining. The sad... More

We were there just after 4pm but the front staff told us that there were no more guided tours. Went around by ourselves with a small map. Found a few interesting herbs and plants here and there (e.g. purple chillies) and took a rest at the giant swing. It took less than an hour to finish walking around and we... More

Didn't know what to expect but this was very nice. Walking through tropical gardens and having the spices and their benefits, etc explained was helpful. Without the guide it would have just been looking at pretty plants. This would be a stop you should make.

Went here today, jumped on the 101 bus from Batu Ferringhi, 1.40MYR ea. Make sure you tell the bus driver where your going and he will stop right at the front. It's very nice here and we spent a pleasant couple of hours wandering through the garden out of the hustle and bustle. Make sure you visit the restaurant at... More

We took a long bus trip up to see this attraction on a Saturday but when we arrived we were informed they were closed for a private function! It took us another hour to catch a bus back to Georgetown. What a waste of time.

We visited the spice garden yesterday. It was so nice, calm and peacefull there. The garden is wel maintained and clean. Lots of nice flowers and plants to see. Visit takes about 2 hours. Mosquito repellent is provided at the entrance. Loved the big swing with it's ocean view!!
