very picturesque hill station , and centrally located lake and some nice view points. Not much to do , so ideal is a day visit .

There is a night train from delhi to kathgodham. From Kathgodham you could hire a taxi to reach Nanital. As a touristy place, naturally its very crowded. However, if you chose to stay on the other side of the lake(opposite to nanital city) its better as the place is less crowded.

It was a one night weekend-getaway! April proved to be an off-season month, and that was blessing in disguise- less crowded & hotels were hardly occupied. We got a good deal at hotel classic. We have been going Nanitaal since we were kids as we like this place a lot and also its pretty close to delhi , so its kind of homely place for us now ;) Its attraction is the beautiful view of the hugeeee jheel and the breeze that blows when you are walking on the mall road by its side... More

Comfortable weather, awesome natural beauty, safe place to travel even at night. U can walk & just enjoy it's beauty without spending a rupee. If u want to spend then u can visit 6 view-points riding horses at 600/- per head. The woodland ride must satisfy u. U can go for boat-riding at around 100/- per head. U must visit... More

It is a popular hill station in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. Its around 300 km from Delhi. We 5 friends went for 4 days trip and had awesome experience. The weather was chilling and fantastic. There are so many places in Nainital to visit. e.g.- Nainital Zoo, Nani lake, Nana Devi temple, Eco cave garden, Snow view Point, Tiffin... More

it was 6 degrees or lesser in the night and was freezing cold... But the place is otherwise very pretty and calm serene and worth a visit

Really a beautiful place one can visit in all seasons except rainy season ,you should avoid visiting in monsoon weather , good places to visit peaks , zoo , temple of Naina devi , boating , visit to High Court campus etc
