Since this seemed a relatively touristy spot, we were a bit concerned at first. However, the cave is very impressive and the drgon boat ride into the cave was very pleasant and different. Nice excursion.

The caves are outright amazing. You go by boat and close to the cave, the engine is shut off and you are pedalled into the cave. The cave itself is of an amazing size, and at least 400 meter, with curves, bends and filled with th emost amazing shapes. Praise to the Vietnamese government, who presented it in an amazing... You can not miss with the great UNESCO panel. The entrance is a bit expensive but the boat motor to the site navigation is magical. Inside, the engine is off to make room for rowers. The cave is small but well highlighted by the lights of different colors. The only negative point is disrespectful of their Vietnamese heritage and makes... More

The Phong Nha cave is beautiful. You go to the cave by boat. The boats can fit up to 14 people so wait around and it will be cheaper for you. You can visit just this cave on its own or combine it with Tien Son cave. Tien Son cave you have to hike up to but the effort is... More

I've been in several caves in the US and Barbados and this one is really impressive. It's not the biggest but it's for sure the tallest and largest cave that I already visited. It has a very nice boardwalk and it's easy to walk around. It is well illuminated. You can visit it independently if you prefer. Our guide had... More

We visit the caves by boat and I totally recommend it. However, if you go there and there are not many people waiting, yoh should wait a while tk see if you havd anyone else to share the boat with. The price is per boat. We were lucky to have 2 other tourist arriving when we were about to buy... More

I visited a few caves here and there were breathtakingly beautiful! Had a really really fun day out at the dark caves and got to go kayaking, caving and bathing in mud, in the dark. I met some fellow travellers who I am still in touch with now. Goto the dark caves.

It is somewhat confusing here on tripadvisor about the caves. There are many caves around and only one of them is called phong nha cave but it seems as if all of them are reviewed under one name, except for the paradise cave. I will try to clear up the mess with individual reviews of the four caves that we... More

I had been many caves in the world but nothing is like this one. Take the boat trip in half an hour, look around the daily life on the water and beautiful landscapes. 1.5 hours inside the cave. It is steamy, stunning

Amazing caves. While I have been to many such caves, the river meandering thru' the caves give an amazing feeling. The formations are breathtaking and you feel transported to a different world. Don't miss it, even though its a long ride from the city.
