This monument located in seaside promenade, which is lovely beach in Pondicherry. This memorial raised by the French to honour the soldiers who died in world war 1. Really one must see.

This monument, located on the promenade, poignantly reminds us of the many soldiers from French India who lost their lives in the First World War fighting "Pour la Patrie". As far as the French were concerned, these were French citizens laying down their lives for their country.

This is on the promenade itself so if youve already planned to walk along the length of the promenade then this will be opposite the le cafe. Its just a war memorial for the French soldiers who fought the war.

This is a statue for the french war memorial. It's along the same path as the beach, and is worth the 5 minute walk by, but not worth going just to see this.

Must see place only if you are a BIG history enthusiast. Blink & you will miss this while driving across the promenade beach. All you can do is halt & click a picture.

The attraction is situated in a small garden just on road side of pondichery Beach. Even in morning a lock was on main gate. No body remains present here. You can see a small statue of a soldier from gate. May be memorial of french soldier but i feel nothing to see.
