This is a lovely beach but need to be there early for sun loungers - the tavern does fabulous toasties for lunch less than 3 euros. There are no stones in the sea which is crystal clear

Loved the golden sand and shallow water. Excellent for walking, swimming and peddle boating. Plenty of lounges.

Lovely long beach that you can walk into Lagana on. If you sit on the beach you need to sit as close to the waters edge as you can as the turtles nest further back and the volunteers ask you to move so that human odours do not stop the turtles laying their eggs. When the turtles make a nest... More

As this is a protected beach i think the lack of sunloungers may have something to do with it, so if you want a sunlounger then get down early!! The sea is absolutley amazing!! Its so crystal clear i didnt want to get out! Definitley worth a visit even if its for a quick dip!

I love this beach because.... it is so quiet, no water sports, no sun beds, no bars, soft yellow sand, shallow safe water that you can see is so clear, and warm.....the same reason that the turtles love it too <3

€7 for 2x sun loungers and 1x parasol for all day. The planes sometimes come in over the top of the beach which was an added interest. You could walk for quite a distance along this beach.

Kalamaki beach is protected as it's where the turtles nest. Yes there are other beaches in Zante that are cleaner but again it's the turtles beach. The planes coming over low are great to see and it really isn't that many so not a problem. I spent nearly every day here and loved it. Not as busy as laganas beach... More
