BEAUTIFUL PALACE

It was interesting and you can have headphones in different languages. No photos allowed although I did take a sneaky one or two! You can do a tour of various places in the city.

Gandia is not on the regular tourist trail, but a detour to see this spectacular palace is a very worthwhile trip. It's not as large as some, but gives a great sense of the power that the Borgia's had. everything is beautifully maintained - the staff are expert and even the gift shop sells souvenirs way above the average

We joined this evening tour of the palace when we saw it advertised on the door of the palace. We didn't know what to expect but were delighted with the whole experience. Our guide Gabriel was excellent and led us through the Borgia palace into private areas not usually open to the public as well as the rooms normally part... More

Incredibly interesting building soaked in history and the history of the powerful, sometimes corrupt Borgia family. Popes, poiseners, statesmen and soldiers, the family had them all. I believe the palace wqs damaged during the Civil War and a lot of the furniture burnt. However the overall impression is of how these powerful people lived, bothnthe saints and the sinners. Nothing... More

Very impressive restored palace (ette) in the centre of Gandia. Well worth the hour it takes to walk round

Gandia is a pleasant town but no great sights apart from this one. The palace is extremely interesting linking in as it does with the Borja popes. Some lovely interiors and very old original tiles. We were extremely fortunate in that we were the only two in our group, and our knowledgeable guide Laura explained everything in perfect English! A... More

The palau is a lovely place to look around, it is amazing that it dates back to the beginning of the 15th Century. The architecture is stunning and so well preserved. Make sure you pick up an information leaflet when you purchase your ticket as it contains lots of information on the different rooms within the palace. I was particularly... More

We decided to make a day out of visiting Gandia and so we spent the morning looking around the shops and a visit to the Palau Ducal Dels Borja from 4pm . Please note, there are renovations taking place at present and so you may want to wait a while to visit. We joined the small queue to purchase our... More
