We visited the falls as a group at the end of April 2014. The falls cannot fail to impress, their sheer power is breathtaking. However our visit to the zoological park was both shocking an appalling. The treatment of the animals was disgusting, in particular a sole monkey chained around its ankles with only a tiny span with which to... More

I like how they made the place more tourist friendly and clean. There are also many activities to choose from such as wallclimbing and walking. It is a nice place to have a family picnic or group outings especially for the outdoorsy types.

The most spectacular sight, well worth a visit. Also a fine example of Hydro Electric usage. The scenery around the falls and river is also stunning and the Hydro Electric plant has been built without spoiling the natural beauty of this area.

Eversince I learned about Maria Cristina Falls in my elementary textbooks, I have been looking forward to set my eyes on it. It was beautiful. Powerful. Grand. Truly a gift of nature to mankind!

The power of our Mother nature. In here, you can feel the power of the 98-meter falls. We must take care of our mother nature and make the most out of it. The hydroelectric plant has a potential capacity of 200MW, and is the reason why electricity rates in Iligan City is cheap compare to neighbouring cities.

This is what Wikipedia describes the falls-- "Maria Cristina Falls is a waterfall of the Agus River on the island of Mindanao. It is sometimes called the "twin falls" as the flow is separated by a rock at the brink of the waterfall. It is a landmark of Iligan City, nicknamed the City of Majestic Waterfalls, because of the presence... More

I was not expecting much. But this waterfall is one of the grandest I have ever seen. You better see it to believe is all that I can say really. Worth the long trip.

I've heard a lot about Maria Cristina Falls, and much has been written .. so that I've always wanted to find out myself and awed was I when I got there. This really is a massive falls of water dropping off the cliff 322 feet down the Agus River in the boundaries of Barangay Buru-un and Maria Cristina in Iligan... More

Went there last July on a rainy day with family and friends. The visit was fairly short as the it was raining. We didn't get to see the other attractions save for the falls itself but it was what we came for. The falls was simply beautiful and breathtaking, towering high above with all the water rushing down. Its really... More
