This was an interesting cellar tour and tasting. Château Lynch-Bages owns several other château including Les Ormes de Pez in St Estephe [see www.ormesdepez.com] and Ch. Villa Bel-Air in Graves [see www.villabelair.com ] and it also has a joint venture in Portugal. Touring the cellars we could see that a lot of new investment in modern wine making equipment has... ... Very knowledgable, interesting tour (I've done lots!) but we found the guide rather abrupt and only had two tastings for €9 tour cost.

We visited Mouton Rothschilds in the morning and Lynch Bages in the afternoon.. Lynch Bages was a third of the price and had a clearer, simpler presentation. The retention of some of the old wine making facilities to show visitors is a good idea. Less bling than the Chateau visited in the morning

Those at Chateau Lynch-Bages are savvy about accommodating tourists and visitors to their very functional complex. The property is situated on a ridge just west of Pauillac and near the small town of Bages. The first impactful impression when arriving at the Chateau is that one is physically imprisoned by the vineyards which are within easy touching distance. Looking out... More

Was very exciting to visit one of my favourite wineries in Bordeaux given how much I loved their wine, and it certainly wasn't to disappoint. Tour needs to be pre-booked and the guide was able to speak perfect English. Good way for visitors to learn about the secrets of wine making throughout the tour. There was also tasting for their... Bages vlllage is a special place well worth the trip. Wines are very good , their new 2nd rebranded label "Echo" is very drinkable and great value.

We drove from Bordeaux city to Pauillac but we'd a little problem of using our car GPS to locate it. We'd only had a brief address from the website but TomTom couldn't locate it, neither it was in the GPS's POA list (strange though there's a list of other Chateaus but just no Lynch-Badges); and oddly there's not much road... It is surely a nice tour with a well preserved historical wine production facility. The guide was very professional but the tour felt a bit impersonal. Don't be surprised at the end when you find yourself on the street after the last door:)

Liked all. Disliked nothing. Wine was amazing as always. White Bordeaux is one of my favorites. Thank you again and again.

You could take the mass tour at Lynch Bages and have a small sample at the end, or you could splash out a bit and have the private tour where you can ask loads more questions and then have one of the wine tasting or blending lessons in the mini school. I'd thoroughly recommend the latter. We did the wine... More
