Had a nice tour of Lynch Bages which was setup by the hotel we were staying at (Cordeillan Bages). The guide was very knowledgeable about the wine making process and it was great to see the room where they used to make wine and how it was done. Obviously the stand out wine of the region and for good reason.... More

A very well conducted tour of the vineyard, we particularly liked the historic part. The wine tasting was not exceptional, but in line with the price. The reconstructed village square outside the chateau was very different to the normal.

Our guide was hard to understand many times yet she says she's from NZ! The wines at the end show differences yet are way too young to really "get". At lynch bages, they create their wine before laying the juice down. No winemaker at the end of their lay down period, tasting then creating their wine. It is a smooth... More

Disappointing and commercialized. My husband and I had been anticipating this chateau all week and even ate at the associated restaurant, Cafe Lavinal, before our tour. It was a group tour that was entirely too large (about a dozen), and everything seemed very staged/rehearsed. The guide was somewhat knowledgeable but was clearly there to cater to tourists who were not... More

Our Wine Club visted the Chateau for a tour and tasting. The guide was entusiastic and knew all about the wine and the production. They had an excelent museum showing how they did the winification in the old days. The tasting was very good and you pay for what you get.

Really enjoyable one hour tour and well worth the money. Make sure you book as it can be busy. Very interesting English tour. Well worth a visit.

We had a lovely small tour - booking was easy, very friendly communications by email. Inexpensive tour, and just an incredible feeling to be in a room full of barrels representing the entire 2014 harvest. I'd have stayed forever!! After two gorgeous wine samples, we went for a very tasty lunch and bought some bottles in the shop. A really... More

My wife and I took an English spoken tour of the chateau last week. We visit the Medoc region for more than 20 years and are both wine lovers. This tour, guided by Emelie, was perfect, very informative, friendly, given in good English, all questions being answered and the tasting of the 2007 Lynch-Bages was great. Our tour was followed... Our first chatea and it was a great experience. Although we signed up for a English speaking guide, our guide was more interested in her cigarette break than speaking with us. While i have lots of experience listening to people with accents. our guide just wasn't interested. We also didn't buy any wine
