That premium tastes comes from this premium winery with their perfectionist approach to production and visitor experience. I enjoyed a lot to visit and taste. I believe this is one of the "must visit" winery in Bordeaux region.

We visit the area every summer and always take our visiting friends on this tour. The tour includes the new computerized winery and the old 19th century winery preserved as a museum. The post tour tasting includes Ch Ormes de Pez another property owned by the Cazes family. Plan to have lunch at the bistro in the recreated Bages Villages.... More

I would start by pointing out that there is some inconsistency in the reviews on this site, which I attribute in part to the fact that some people have paid for the visit and some (such as my wife and I) had it included as part of a package. In our case we were impressed with the guide and the... More

We took part in the organised tour as part of a day of wine tasting and vineyard visits in the Medoc. Although this was a different set up to some of the individually arranged tastings we did on the day it was very informative and gave a really good insight into both the history and also more modern techniques. There... More

Reserved the tour from the US. Enjoyed the tour and the wine tasting. Check out my photos of the aging area and the quaint village that is part of the winery. This is a 5th growth winery as a part of the Bordeaux region classification. We worked our way up to 3rd growth and 2nd growth. Very educational in terms... More

This tour was at the end of a long day of cycling so we are all really tired. The guide, although nice, went on and on and probably didn't read her audience and kept going until she said all she had to get through. It was a relief to get to the tasting.

We went here at the end of a bike tour of the vineyards of Medoc near Pauillac. Okay, disclaimer time, we split our time between Napa and Scottsdale. We know and make wine. The young lady who gave the tour was a freak. Her english was great, but the delivery was just strange. Her facial expressions and intonation was freakish.... More

This was an interesting cellar tour and tasting. Château Lynch-Bages owns several other château including Les Ormes de Pez in St Estephe [see www.ormesdepez.com] and Ch. Villa Bel-Air in Graves [see www.villabelair.com ] and it also has a joint venture in Portugal. Touring the cellars we could see that a lot of new investment in modern wine making equipment has... ... Very knowledgable, interesting tour (I've done lots!) but we found the guide rather abrupt and only had two tastings for €9 tour cost.

We visited Mouton Rothschilds in the morning and Lynch Bages in the afternoon.. Lynch Bages was a third of the price and had a clearer, simpler presentation. The retention of some of the old wine making facilities to show visitors is a good idea. Less bling than the Chateau visited in the morning
