we were 5 minutes late for the tour, and the tour guide was kind enough to wait for us (apologies to the other people who had to wait for us to start!). the tour was good in the sense they showed you how wine was made in the past and in the present, showing you the modern technology and also... We booked a tour of the cellars 9€ a person. The tour lasts about an hour and the girl who conducted it was very knowledgeable and answered any questions easily. Slightly disappointed with the two tastings you get at the end, and would not have bought any wine based on these two samples.

A highlight of our trip, not inexpensive and you must make an appointment for not the tour, but the blending class. It involves a taster with specially made bottles of the unaged component wines that go into the Lynch Bages blend. We learned about the components to the wine blend, made our own blends, and then compared them to the... More

We enjoyed the tour of the old world way of wine making in the old section of the winery made into a museum. All manual labor and gravity controlled. Tour info also included the current day practices in the modern facility. As with most wineries we enjoyed the tasting at the end.

We did the special "art of blending" tour. It may sound price (Euro 75 per person), but it totally worth. It's a great experience for wine lovers.

Lynch Bages wines have always been a favorite of ours, so doing this tour was special. Very nice amicable and knowledgeable guide for the hour tour of the cellars culminating in the tasting of two of their wines. You exit on to the square of the tiny village of Bages where the owners have put Cafe Lavinal for lunch or... More

Lynch-Bages is an excellent winery producing excellent Pauillac wines that bely it's fourth growth status. Beautifully set up, they have retained the old wooden winery as a museum and this gives you a unique feel as to how the wines would have been made in yesteryear.

That premium tastes comes from this premium winery with their perfectionist approach to production and visitor experience. I enjoyed a lot to visit and taste. I believe this is one of the "must visit" winery in Bordeaux region.

We visit the area every summer and always take our visiting friends on this tour. The tour includes the new computerized winery and the old 19th century winery preserved as a museum. The post tour tasting includes Ch Ormes de Pez another property owned by the Cazes family. Plan to have lunch at the bistro in the recreated Bages Villages.... More

I would start by pointing out that there is some inconsistency in the reviews on this site, which I attribute in part to the fact that some people have paid for the visit and some (such as my wife and I) had it included as part of a package. In our case we were impressed with the guide and the... More
