Firstly, let me say that I do not agree with wildlife in captivity, unless done for the correct reason. We booked this up on the recommendation of the rep, as being the only place they use due to the good husbandry and care of the dolphins. We had a wonderful time, and it was an experience we will remember forever.... More

Catering for the masses is really hard. However the big lagoon you'd expect it to be pristine, the water was murky ( visibility less than 2m) which made it a bit of a let down. Otherwise the Dolphins, and adventure park was great! I would come back again, as even though it was a let down for the snorkling the... More

Overall Xel Ha is ok. While there were many things to do, and the food and drink are provided, I did not feel we got our money’s worth. The food was okay, but nothing exceptional about it. All the cafeterias are buffet style, with the standard Mexican food offerings. The drinks were very watered down and horrible. Xel Ha isn't... More

This park has a lot of beautiful fish and turtles. It isn't as large as the other parks but has a ton of people. It's nearly impossible to do anything as we were crammed in with too many visitors.

The cost covers entrance, activities, food and drink for the day, plus life jackets, snorkels/fins, towels - you just need to show up with sunscreen and your bathing suit! There are specific activities you can pay for, but we just stuck to the main activities and we were occupied for the entire time. You could bring your own equipment, but... More

This was my second trip to Xel-Ha. I love it! You never have to worry about a windy day stirring up sediment or waves. The fish are plentiful and the food is good. My only warning is that the biodegradable sunblock does nothing. I saved this for the last day of my trip anticipating a sun burn, and boy am... More

We did Xel-Ha as an excursion when we stayed at the Barceló in June. We were with my parents (both in their 60s) and our three children (two 18 year old boys and a 13 year old girl). The park is beyond beautiful. The water is crystal clear and they have all kinds of fun activities to do at no... More

Overall a nice place but because of all the recent storms the water was really green and cloudy and very slippery due to all the agae which is not the norm as I had been there before. All the beaches in the area are full of seaweed so not a good place to be due to this and the smell--no... More

First, let me explain that we are not "amusement park" people. We don't do crowds. We can't justify waiting in lines for over an hour for 3 minutes of "wow" (not worth our time). This is considered a "natural amusement park". And its AMAZING. The ability to "just go" and enjoy the water, beach, tropical landscape exactly how you want... More
