Got here by boat on a planned excursion and it was fantastic - however did not see any turtles! Beautiful clear water and shingle beach.
Definitely worth a visit for anyone visiting Zante. The first few years we went on a tourist boat so we got to go turtle spotting on the way. More recently we have hired a boat ourselves and stopped at the smaller beach around the other side to the main area. Really nice secluded beach with a bit of a cove... More
Gorgeous island off Laganas bay. island is full of the local carretta carretta turtle nests. great location for some snorkelling in the cystal clear waters, exploring caves or for just relaxing in the sun for a few hours.
Nice ... a must on the island. Rent a boat and go see the island. No facilities, but that is a plus on this liittle island.
The boat basically harassed a poor turtle for about an hour poor thing we felt real sorry for it !! but then the captain got board thank god then took us around a quiet part of the island and we snorkelled off the boat ( took our own kit ) that was the only good part of the trip

We've rented a small boat to drive it ourselves... More
We hired out a private speedboat for 6 of us - wow! Tons of fish in shallow waters and the island itself is amazing. Takes about 25 mins on a speedboat - just bring a case of beer and stay there for hours (we hired ours for 6) - beach beaches we saw all holiday!
amazing personal boat ride to this island, great place to swim in caves and snorkel, beautiful scenery...but strangely full of wasps?
Caught a small boat from the Laganas beach to Turtle Island perfect day as the sea was like a big lake very still. It fook 25 minutes to reach the island, you have 1 hour to sunbathe and swim in the clear waters it was lovely. There was a boat with a bar selling refreshments and nice cold drinks. Well... More

Also were scuba diving from Keri and our first dive was at Marathonissi....saw loads of fish and had an amazing time. We'll definitely be coming... More
