On the half of way from Laganas to this island we saw turtles just under our boat through the glass bottom and also around our boat. On the island there are many nests of turtle, so, you cannot go from the water line more than on 10 meters. But it is enough to enjoy swimming. We also went around this... More

went out on the 3 hour trip but probably 2 hours would have been enough as the last hour is on the small beach area where you cant go far because of nesting turtles. seeing the turtles was amazing an fun going into the caves

Got to see turtles in their natural habitat. Kids loved it! went swimming in the clear seas. Try to book outside your hotel - plenty of cheaper choice.

Not much to do on the beach, not much life if you are snorkeling either. You are quite restricted in where you can go on the island but the water around it is very inviting.

Went there on a tour with Nefis Travel. Did some snorkeling, thoroughly enjoyable! Island is important for the loggerhead turtles, since most male turtles hatch here, the temperature is a bit lower than the other nesting beaches, lower temps mean more males

Choose a small boat (max 20pax) to see the island. We had a really good captain, that took us really close to turtles.

We liked everything about the island and the locals. Our main dislikes were the beach pedlers selling in general selling rubbish and the number of people harassing you to have a massage

We enjoyed taking the boat out and ended up here with all the other boats. There is a very small area of the beach that you can use and no umbrellas are allowed. There was a place to buy drinks and ice cream and had a toilet. The water is lovely but it can get a bit too crowded to... More

Lovely clear waters of turtle island was worth visiting and we are glad we took a boat trip to a beach on the island only accessible by boat. Most refreshing swim. Do ask the boat for a body float if you are not a strong swimmer because it can be quite a tough swim to shore for weak swimmers.
