We went through floating glacier ice and touched them. We looked at glacier terminal on the water and Mt Cook in the blue sky. Traveled with my old parents and we were bit concerned if they could walk to the jetty or not. But the route was mostly flat and guides were very supportive. Our guide on the boat was... More

We had a fun time on this trip. You must walk to the lake (not everyone in our group could) and take a jacket as it is chilly on the water. Guide was good. We recommend this trip!

I had my doubts , the experience is magic, I doubt many more generations will get to view this amazing Lake and Glacier. The guide Mark was very informative, he was passionate about his job.

Excellent trip, mini excursion close to the resort, 20min bus ride and a 20min walk. The guides were brilliant, knowledgeable and well spoken. No long anecdotes, just interesting information and good humour. Beautiful scenes even though the skies were overcast, the guides brought us close enough to touch the icebergs. Bring; good camera for scene pics, phone for silly selfies... More

Had a terrific time despite the drizzle and low cloud. Saw amazing icebergs, got up close and personal with them! Tour guides fantastic and considerate. Guides took the time to give explanations and history of area. They ensured a fun time was had by all! An easy walk from bus drop off to glacier lake. ( a bit tougher on... More

Being March there were not many icebergs in the lake when we went but enough to still keep the tour interesting and fun. The icebergs look tiny from the ground but when you get up to them they are bigger than the boat. The walk to the place where you get on the boat is about 20 minutes and that... More

Sign up for the tour at Hermitage Hotel. We took a bus to the venue. But there is a 15-20minutes walk thereafter to the destination. We will need to wear lifejacket as well as a waterproof coat. The icebergs were amazing! Our guide was knowledgeable and I had learned alot about glaciers during the trip. Touching and tasting the ice... More

This was the last activity of our trip and we were not actually expecting to like it this much. Very different experience to see a glacier from the water. Impressive sight of the terminal face and touching/tasting the ice directly from the icebergs was pretty cool !! Our guide was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

We took a brisk walk to the lake before boarding inflatables to view the glacier and floating icebergs. It was thrilling speeding across the water. The views were spectacular and the guide was very knowledgeable. It was extremely interesting to get close to the icebergs and see the colors.

From the first welcome onto the bus taking us on our first part of the trip we were impressed. After a time and about 20min easy walk we had our first sight of the glacier lake. Into our boat and life jackets and we were away guided by Dave who was so informative and relaxed. The icebergs are incredible and... More
