The ski field access road to Mt. Dobson was quite friendly for drivers even though it is a club field, especially for the top section owned & maintained by the club. It was a nice surprise for me how nice the access road was to drive on, even though it was snowing quite heavily on my way down as weather... More

My son and I had a great day on this club ski field. There wasn't that much snow so the t bar wasn't open to the top but the runs from the top of the chair lift were great. Great club field and worth a visit

Excellent snow boarding instruction from Tim. Helpful lifties and very honest staff - the access road grader driver returned cash to us cash that we'd dropped on the field.

It was quiet and uncrowded and the powder snow was amazing. The owner of the field was out and about working and all the staff were friendly and helpful. It snowed again at lunchtime so there was fresh snow in the afternoon as well. Brilliant.

This was my first time snowboarding and it was a really great place to start. The bunny hill is a good size and consessions are good with some nice warm coffee and booze if you need to just relax for a bit. The staff were all very friendly and you won't get a nicer drive on the way there. Staying... More

Friendly, not too crowded, no lift queues, great skiing off and on piste. Great place for kids to learn on sunny beginner and intermediate slopes, but also good for advanced skiers.

Mt Dobson boasts one of the true best catchments of powder snow in the south Canterbury region, and August / September is the month to go check it out -we went from staying in Timaru, an hours drive to the carpark. We couldn't make it on the Saturday and went to Roundhill, but Sunday Mt.Dobson was THE place to be.... More

Great little club field. Access road can ice up as part of it is in the shade. Not too big and it doesn't get overly crowded. Not to expensive. If there is fresh snow around then I would head here.
