This is such a beautiful park, and can be a destination in itself. Other reviewers have told you most everything you need to know. We spent 2 1/2 hours there and could have stayed longer, but we were getting hungry and wanted to see some of Uruapan's other attractions. We travelled around parts of Michoacan by bus and found the... More

Honestly, I have never seen or felt anything like this. Water everywhere! Lush. Plants. Trees. Birds. Flowers. Tranquility. Greenness. Water. Everywhere. OMG. What a treat for the eyes and senses. Absolutely magnificent and worth a trip to this area for this very reason. Uruapan. Avocado capital of the world. Fabulous coffee growing area. Macadamia nuts - check. Cacao- yup. World... More

Nice walk through the beautiful tropical gardens and waterscapes. Ask for one of the kids / locals to tell you about the legend of the park, its very cool.

Entrance is free to residents of Uruapan, and they must be grinning to themselves every time they enter. We found this park to be well done, and a literal oasis from the city. The vegetation is lush. The sound of the river is therapeutic. The water is blue. The common areas are taken care of. A wonderful place for a... More

If you are stopping in the area of Uruapan this city park is not to be missed. There are walks, lots of waterfalls and fountains The plant life is luxuriant and the whole area is cool after the hot sun you are exposed to outside the park/. There is a trout farm where you can feed the fish and even... More

Amazing water designs that continually keep you in awe. Located in the heart of the city makes it convenient although you think you are far removed from the hustle and bustle! A must if you are any where near Uruapan.

A delightful walk with water and sub tropical vegetation everywhere. The natural springs power a succession of man made waterfalls and fountains. The paths are not wheelchair or buggy friendly which is the only criticism of a delightful spot where we spent an hour or so. Lunch at La Terraza de la Trucha followed by this walk to work of... I spent a lovely two hours strolling the grounds of the Parque Nacional. The drive from Patzcuaro only took about two hours, and was definitely worth it. Uruapan is a large, busy city with a lot of traffic. Parking is along the street, lined with stalls selling mostly toys, The entrance fee was 25 pesos (about $3.25 US). Taking many... More

Entrance fee is $25 Pesos. Once inside the main gate you are immediately bombarded by way too many "guides" trying to sell you their service. May be good for some but the park is not large, all the guides were ranting away in Spanish ( not good for us Spanish challenged speakers). It would have been nice if the park... More
