If you want to have a scenic view of playa Mazunte and San Agustinillo it's great place to be but go there early because after 10:30 hrs it's a little bit hot. Try the "sendero del pescador " also to have a great view on a Mermejita beach. It's seem to be a great place for the sunset but bring... More

You can watch a beautiful sunset from this point and is within walking distance from Mazunte. Some people are dancing traditional pre-hispanic dances which gives a nice background music to the sunset.

This is a great spot to visit. It is a wonderful 10 minute hike from Mazunte and is the best place to enjoy the sunset, whether on the small virgin beach Mermejita or on top of the hill. It is the the southernmost point of the state of Oaxaca and an important stopping place for migratory birds and marine mammals... More

We did this hike around sunset, and it was amazing. It is definitely worth doing if you are in Mazunte and the surrounding area. There are some hills to walk up, but the walk is generally easy and the trail is well marked. You will get beautiful views of Mazunte and the Pacific Ocean. It was also cool to see... More

We walked to Punta Cometa last night in flip flops and it was a breeze. Maybe not recommended for the older lot. We found this tidal pool and jumped in which is like a real spa when the water cascades in and creates natural bubbles. From there we climbed up to the cliff tops and watched the sunset. It really...
