Amazing etc etc but wait... of course it’s worth every penny of the entry fee just to see so many magnificent birds congregating together. One thing to remember, this is a working farm! It starts with a large number of kites wheeling around, they have their watches synchronised of course, then the farmer appears with his tractor and scatters the... More

A friend told me about the Red Kite feeding at 'Gigrin Farm' and we put it top of our list of things to do whilst spending a few days in Wales over the Bank Holiday weekend at the end of May. We are so glad we did as it was simply amazing, and a sight to behold for a long... More

This was a wonderful afternoon, never expected to see so many kites in one place. The kites started arriving in large numbers about an hour before feeding time and started roosting in the surrounding trees so we had fantastic sightings even before the main event began. The hides are right in front of the feeding ground,so the view as the kites came in... Such a great place with plenty of parking and walks to explore the farm. There are a number of 'hides' with plenty of space for everyone to watch this amazing spectacle. It's so good to be able to support the work they do here. It was amusing to watch the cats come sneaking in for a feed amongst the Red... More

Brilliant experience. Loved the Kites... Even though it was pouring with rain it didn't dampen our spirits. And the Kites came in huge numbers to feed. Amazing....

Fantastic to see so many birds of prey in the one hour that we stayed for. Even the local peacocks and cats came to feed on the scraps. Fantastic photo opportunity. Totally recommended to all age groups. Great work done by this centre

What a wonderful place. This is a must see and has to be seen to believed. The staff were very helpful and the hides were very close to the feeding.

Fascinating view of wild birds feeding, from well-made hides leaving birds undisturbed behaving naturally and facilitating any kind of photography as well as shelter from the weather. Plenty of room for a coachload plus. Perfect accessibility - we two 70+ disabled were able to park car by little onsite cafe and ride on our mobility scooters right into the hide.... More

Visited this on a weekend away with the boyfriend at his suggestion - if I'm honest, it definitely wasn't something I would have chosen to visit myself, but turned out to be one of the real highlights of the trip! Despite the drizzly weather, we were dry and had a fab view of the astonishing sight of hundreds of red... More

Recommended by the local Doldowlod Caravan Park (and great they were too) we enjoyed a stunning experience here. Having not seen a Red Kite before, we were priviliged to see hundreds of them come 'feeding time' and it was a real spectacle and well worth the £5 entrance fee. The 'visitor centre' could offer more but the real attraction here... More
