Great to see birds up close, my friends came and they really enjoyed the experience. Though I prefer seeing them in the wild it was still nice getting up close so the children could see them. There are some nice walks around the area.

We were given this venue as a place to visit from our hotel 40 minutes away. We were not disappointed. In Bedfordshire, we often observe 1 to 4 Red Kites if we are lucky. We love seeing them and get quite excited at the view. We were overwhelmed by this setting. We must have seen some 300 Kites feeding. Awesome.... More

It was wonderful watching the kites from the hides. Such a display, it was awesome. Well worth a visit at 2 pm in winter and 3pm in summer. Easy to see the Elan Valley dams on the same trip. Spectacular scenery in the autumn.

I took my BF here as a surprise as he's very keen on birds of prey and is always pointing out Red Kites to me. I wasn't really sure what to expect and imagined a few Kites would pop down for lunch. Well, immediately we arrived it was clear we were in the right place as there were loads of... More

Fantastic sight of Red Kites from the farm and also the available hides. Sat for almost an hour of feeding time and have never seen so many beautiful birds of prey at the same time. Also an added bonus of seeing the occasional buzzard and kestrel. A must see!

What a great day out for all the family. Whether you're interested in birds or not this spectacle will truly amaze you. Arrive at the farm well in advance of feeding time and pick your spot in one of the purpose built hides that overlook the feeding station then watch as the birds come to roost. Not just red kites... A big thank you to Gigrin Farm for running this centre. There were over 100 Kites on our visit and no trouble whatsoever with access, parking or space to sit in the hides. The Gigrin team couldn't have been more helpful. Not over commercial, and more thanks for that. A best-ever experience. Always wanted to go and it exceeded our... More

I have visited Gigrin Farm Rhayader many times and I will never cease to be amazed at what they have achieved there. Gigrin Farm became the Red Kite Feeding Station in 1993 following a request from the RSPB. Apparently the number of Kites visiting has risen from about a dozen in the first year to over 600 in the winter... More

What a wonderful experience this was. In Wales for a weekend away and called in on our way to the b&b. There must have been about 200 red kites feeding right in front of us. What beautiful graceful birds they are and to be so close to them was brilliant. We even saw the white kite for a short time.... More

My Mum and I stopped off here on our way back from South Wales. I had been past it many times but had never been able to stop off before as I was working. I love red kites and an opportunity to see them up close was very exciting. The farm is quite small but there we're nought hides for... More
