Visited the Red Kite Feeding station before we went to Elan Valley, Amazing to see such wild large birds circle then gather in numbers of 40 + before swooping down for food, a really good experience and highly recommended, it definitely beats the birds you normally see in your garden.

Easy to find and well organized signposted to each area and not excessively expensive. There are other areas of interest including a shop rehabilitation centre and cafe. Much of the site is a work in progress with plans to extend the cafe to provide hot meals as well as snacks, the staff are pleasant and helpful, the toilets are clean,... More

We keep going back here because it is such a great experience run by friendly staff and resident farm animals and birds! The wild birds of prey are fed at the same time every day at 2pm GMT/ 3pm BST. The entry cost is very reasonable. There are plenty of hides but get there early for a good seat. Feathered... More

Whilst our husbands went motorbike trail riding we popped along to this attraction. It was a lovely day and the red kites were on good form. Very nice location

What an excellent afternoon! Get there about half an hour before the feeding starts as the kites start circling and you can get some excellent photos of them sat in the trees and hovering. Once the "food is served" photos become more difficult as they start diving and are very fast. Good pictures of buzzards too. Visitors centre on site,... More

After a great Sunday Lunch in Rhayader we drove a short distance to the Red Kite Feeding Station, for our first ever visit. We'd been advised that feeding takes place at 3pm during our summer time and 2 pm in winter so had timed our visit accordingly. We paid our £5 entrance fee and found the car park was already... More

Myself, my husband & our two small children went to Gigrin Farm to see the Red Kites. I'm so pleased we went. The feeding was at 3pm & it was amazing! The people who run the farm were lovely & very friendly. The cafe is really nice & does a good coffee! There are also picnic benches to sit on... More

One word: Wow! We were a party of 3 adults and 6 kids, and visited in July. You pay an entrance fee (which I thought was reasonable), then park up at the farm. There is a small shop, cafe and toilets and a picnic area. You then walk down a short track to the kite viewing hides. The track is... More
