If you're in the area at 3pm (feeding time) 100s of Kites will be overhead waiting for their snacks to be served. However, it is worth paying the entrance fee to the farm. There are lots of hides and it gives you the views of the kites swooping down to collect their booty and close quarters

A wow factor of 100%. The farm was easy to find and the people who run it are friendly and helpful. The hides from which to watch the birds are excellent and the small cafe on site provides lovely food. But I leave the best until last. The actual feeding of the Red Kites is far more than expected. A damp afternoon could not have been spent any better. Seated comfortably in one of the hides giving excellent views to everyone, eyes started to be drawn to the sky about 20 minutes before feeding time. Gradually they arrived from all directions and it was wonderful to hear the calls as the red kites circled in anticipation. At first you... More

Second visit here, breathtaking sight of all the red kites in the trees, and circling overhead waiting for the food. The, the diving and swirling to get the food, followed by a slow and graceful departure. Absolutley wonderful. Really nice helpful staff and nice sandwiches and cake in the café. Stunning. The feed them at 3pm in summer and 2... More

Amazing experience! The children also enjoyed feeding the guinea pigs and playing with the dog Meg. The feeding of the Kites was an amazing sight. Beautiful birds and being able to see them so up close was great.

I have never seen so many large, beautiful birds of prey gathered together in one place. This place would be great to go to of its own accord simply because it is beautiful beyond belief, but the feeding of the red kites makes it one of life's truly great experiences. You have to see it to believe it.

Easy to get to from the town, well signposted. Up close to the hundreds of birds that descend for the 3pm feed (summer) or 2pm winter. Hides are accessible but I got some of my best pictures from the picnic tables when all the frenetic feeding activity was over.
