This was the most informative vineyard tour we have ever done. Starting at the vines with some tasting as we listened to Lucy explain about grape variety, pruning, birds etc and finishing with the bottling at the end of the hour's tour, we not only learnt heaps but were entertained by Lucy's wonderful turn of phrase, humorous delivery and excellent... We enjoyed this setting. I especially liked the sauvignon blanc. Great place for a picnic. Good array of wines and some were offered on special. Well with a stop even though it is a bit out of town.

Stopped here as part of our wine tour. Loved the wine, the location and the food! We shared a few plates. We were surprised that the price of the wine in the restaurant was significantly higher than the cellar door price.

This is a great place in a pretty setting just a few minutes out of Martinborough. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The tour is very informative and accompanied by tastings along the way. It was great to see the harvested grapes being processed, a bonus for visiting in April. After the tour we had lunch at Bloom restaurant which... More

The grape to glass tour was recommended by our hosts whilst we were visiting Martinborough and we were not disappointed. A short drive from the town, the vineyard is in a beautiful setting with great views. We were given a fantastic tour starting with the vines and ending up in the cellars, all the time tasting the various wines produced... More

On one of the busiest days leading up to Christmas, Murdoch James gave a fantastic start to our work Christmas function. Giving 30 of us space under the shade of the trees for a wine tasting, they were accommodating and welcoming, with delicious wine to boot. Thank you very much & Merry Christmas.

We recently went to Murdoch James Bloom restaurant recently on a Sunday at 1pm. As always, the aperitif wine is delicious, we had a mixture of nibbles which never Gail to please and the service is only surpassed by the view which is exceptional. Highly recommended and will be back for sure.

Recently I was tasked with organising a Wellington-based friend's hen's party (I live in Sydney) with the other bridesmaids. It was decided that a day trip to Martinborough would be fun so we set about making arrangements. I can't speak more highly of Neil from Murdoch James Estate Winery through whom we organised a 'Grape to Glass Tour'. Neil was... More

Located a short drive from Martinborough, the Murdock James Vineyard & Restaurant is a beautifully designed facility with views over the Martinbourough surrounding countryside. Wine tasting is offered and on the two visits we have had the Sommelier was a pleasant chap and gave excellent descriptions of the wines availalble to taste, as well as providing tips to enhance the...
