Great day with Pete who is very knowledgeable and a pleasure to be with. A really lovely worthwhile day. We went to Hot water beach, glow worm caves and to gold mines. Pete collected us from our B and B and returned us at the end of the day. First class

This was a vary enjoyable and varied experience. Doug was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the environment. We visited some historic places and stunning beaches. This knowledge and a good sense of humour is a great mix. He is very easy to talk to and as we were the only two on the excursion that day we felt very special.He... More

We were privileged to have a day with Doug early on our four week NZ vacation. He collected us from our accommodation in Tairua and then took us for a day tour of the old local gold mining sites in the morning and then, after a good lunch, Cooks Bay, Hahei and Hot Water Beach. He shared his extensive knowledge... More

Peter from Kiwi Dundee took us on the 1-day tour of the Coromandel Peninsula. From "Hot Water Beach" to caves with glow-worms, old battle-trenches to working gold-mines and a lunch at the Hot Waves Cafe - it was a great day. Peters knowledge and humour really made it all that more entertaining. Pick up and drop off from our resort... More

First off, Jan and Doug are two of the friendliest and most knowledgable people we have ever met. We did the full day tour of Coromandel which took us to Cathedral Cove with white sandy beaches all the way to an old gold mine complete with glow worms. Jan is fun, a great guide and her knowledge of the local... More

Doug introduced us to the natural beauty of New Zealand with passion and knowledge appropriate to all the family. We visited forests, beaches, and a gold mining gorge. His recognition from the Queen for services to tourism is well deserved, we were privileged to have spent a day in his company.

After a 2 week tour of both islands in New Zealand fifteen years ago, we decided to spend a week this summer in our favorite spot....the Coromandel Peninsula. Of course, no one knows that area better than Doug Johansen and Jan Poole with Kiwi Dundee Adventures. You want find friendlier, more hospitable folks than Doug and Jan. They are genuine... More

It was a privilege to be guided by Doug for the day - you know he's done the tour many times before but his enthusiasm and passion for the countryside is infectious and he is a mine of stored information just waiting for a question to encourage him to offload some interesting tale or fact.

This was one of our highlights during our month in New Zealand. A tour discovering the coromandel with Doug was a privilege. Nature walk, gold mines, glo worms, beaches and wildlife presented by New Zealand's David Attenborough was a day full of education and humour. For the rest of our trip we constantly drew upon the knowledge that was imparted... More

We had an excellent tour with Jan through the wonderful forest where she explained all about the flora and fauna we could see at first hand. She took us to two gold mines, one of which was still being worked. We saw glow worms and amazing, large insects in the tunnels. There was also a joke, which I won't spoil,... More
