I took my daughter and International student here today and we had a great time....was good to be able to feed the birds. Nice place to walk around with lovely plants.

One of the best mornings we've had during our stay in New Zealand! Superb gardens and water features; great selection of birds, both caged and roaming free; lovely peaceful atmosphere throughout; friendly staff and great food in the cafe.

Visited the bird garden on a sunny March afternoon the shade df the trees was welcome and the birds seemed to be attracted to us or was that the bird food we were dispensing We also had an afternoon tea and the scones ,jam and cream along with the cuppa tea went down a treat.

Lovely gardens, and lots of ducks and chickens who really would love you to feed them... also peacocks, geese, pigeons, and many birds in aviaries.

We had a great experience in the Katikati Bird Gardens! The food we bought was well known to the birds who greeted us enthusiastically. The collection of birds was very nice and the owner took pride in his achievements. Really we just had great fun, just the way it should be....

What a dreadful experience. Nobody warned us we'd be chased & pecked by lots of birds. My 3 year will probably be scared of birds for years now. Should have at least given us a heads up that it would be like that and how to deal with it

A large leafy garden with lots of big trees and grassy pathways leading around and through the property. Plenty of chooks, ducks, geese and a few other hangers on following you around for tidbits. Lots of caged exhibits some of which I felt were a bit run down and some also needed to see a bit more sunlight. We had... More

Yesterday visited for the very first time. an amazing place, loved the walk around, the birds, flowers and plants. suggestion: would love see some more colourful creative art around the place in the bushes etc. Apart from that, would recommend to anymore, well worth a visit.

The gardens are beautiful with many native and introduced plant species as well as bird species. You can buy bags of food and have fun feeding the ducks, hens and wild birds as you walk round. There is a cafe where you can enjoy a snack or a meal inside or outside on the shady terrace. A lovely place to... More

Well maintained gardens with a wide variety of birds to look at and feed. Nice to sit down and have a coffee at the end of the walk to. Really enjoyed the friendly staff. Overall was a great day out. Highly recommended for all ages.
