We have been going to Glencoe for years, and have never been inside this tiny museum. This year we did: what a fab little museum. Well worth a visit.

Gives a good impression of everyday life which makes it interesting for children. Make sure you inspect the medical history of the Slate Quarry.

The building, thatched with the glorious heather is special in itself. An enthusiastic welcome to our group of seven was appreciated, and we all loved the touching stories which emerged via the items in the museum. It made us wish the vote, to take place a little over a week hence, would be for Scotland to separate from England, we... More

Really loved this little museum, just a small building and some outhouses. There is a little shop at the entrance selling some lovely things. It has a real nostalgic feel to it. Loads and loads of things there, including the first hoover! Lots of different subjects, the outhouses have a variety of old fashioned tools, and a doctor' s practice.... More

We stopped at the small Glencoe Folk Museum and were astounded by the artifacts, buildings, representations, and information... More

there was no story to this place and some of the displays were a little random to say the least okay on a rainy day but I would not bother if the sun was shining

My small dogs were allowed in. Staff were lovely. It's very small and takes about half an hour to view. Lovely quaint little building. It costs £3 per person.
