This short stroll is an exceptionally easy walk, but with wonderful rewards. Other hikes in the area definitely make you work for the views, but this one delivers them right to you without as much strain. The walk starts with a short incline from the car park and then takes you around the lake where you get great mountain views... More

Having walked around the Lochan before on a rather dismal day, on this occasion with blue skies, we had a quick walk around the perimeter of the Lochan. It was great to see so many people taking advantage of this relaxing and undemanding walk. There are no facilities but as you are only five minutes from the village, this is... More

It is a lovely stretch of water with a lot of ducklings when we were there and the mountain backdrop is stunning. We walked round several times and, after 24 hours of steady rain, loved the new waterfalls feeding in and out of the lochan.

This is an ideal walk for the wheelchair or pushchair. It is a circuit of a beautiful little loch on a flat even and dry path with seats and a picnic bench spaced around it. The approach up an incline from the car park is steady and not steep. The water is surrounded by close woodland with views of the... More

This is a nice little walk with a wonderful view of the surrounding bens. It takes only about 30 min to go around this small loch. If the water is quiet, you can take a perfect reflection photo of the bens.

If you would like a short walk in lovely surroundings this is for you, there are a few walks you can do but most just settle for a walk around the Lochan. well structured paths follow the lochan and are suitable for prams and wheelchairs. the forest is lovely with great views of the surrounding mountains. if you have a... We took the opportunity to turn up the road to this place, after I read about it on a walking website. we were all so glad that we did. After reaching the car park, a 5 minute walk along either a steeper section, or a winding area easily accessable for people in theirs 70's and 80's, leads you to the... More
