I have just returned from a short holiday in San Vito Lo Capo. The beach was overcrowded and due to this the sea was not at its best. I would advise a trip between end of June/beginning of July, locals say the sea is as blue and lovely just as you see it on pictures. Probably it is also not... More

Beautiful beach, there were a lot of people but it was still very nice. Blue water, white sand.. A little piece of paradise.

We visited in July from Trapani, Which is a lovely bus journey. However on arrival the beach was so crowded it was difficult to see the sand, or the view itself, for people. There were places to sit at the far ends of the beach, away from the crowds. I would avoid going in July as it is so busy.... More

Nice beach, windy, but no public open and free showers (you have to pay for the showers on the beach, whereas in other parts of Sicily you don't). The drinking water quality in general is salty, compared to other places in Sicily, so you have to buy and carry huge packs of (expensive) bottles of water. Very few mini-markets, crowded.... More

We travelled to San Vito lo Capo from Palermo on a bus which took about 2 hours. The buses are not very regular but do leave at their assigned times. We went for the 11am bus and left at 6pm – you can pay on the bus. While some may think half a day is not enough, it was enough... More

It is a little bit out of the way, but the beach is gorgeous. Like it has silver sand, the water is so clear you can see through it. The cliffs in behind make a beautiful scenery. And at the end the best sunset at Sicily.

The beach is typical Italian style.....umbrellas piled up nearly on top of one another and people every where. The interesting thing is that some folks set up their own umbrellas in front of the concession areas and in other spots where they found room. Apparently it is not as strict as in other Italian beach areas! However, all that paled... More

Lovely sandy beach but very little of it unncumbered by parasols etc impossible to 'get away' for a bit of peace and quiet they need to tidy up the hunks of old seaweed still beautiful view when you're out in the sea swimming I guess it must be clean as I was stung by jellyfish apparently they like clean water......
