The trip to the Nosara Wildlife started with a warm welcome and a walk through the beautiful jungle. We were then treated to some lemonade and discussion about the mission of the sanctuary. THe flowers and natural surroundings were so beautiful but the sweet monkeys were the best. They were so warm and friendly and it made my heart melt.... More

I have been a tourist in Nosara some 15 times and I have to put this attraction to the sanctuary at the top of my list. This is the best tourist dollar you can spend while visiting Nosara that I have found. Vicky and Steve put forth a brand new perpective on "giving back" to a community. Enjoy the vist... More

We visited the sanctuary about 3 weeks ago and it was fantastic! Vicky and steve were great hosts, made us feel very welcome and were very knowledgeable about the cause, area and animals. Really worth a visit if you are in the area. More

What a wonderful experience! Vicki and Steve have put every ounce of their being into taking in orphaned and injured animals all around Nosara. The visit will undoubtably leave you with a real knowledge and connection with these animals that have no voice and are in need. A MUST see!! We will most definitely being going back again (with some... More

What an experience. The grounds are beautiful with flowers, and, if your lucky, as I was, there were monkeys hanging out on trees...wow...Steve gave us a tour of some areas of the grounds, where we enjoyed amazing views...then we were welcomed by Vicki who offered us some refreshing juices. Such warm welcome. Then the attraction, actually mingled with the monkeys....wow,... More

Steve and Vicki introduce small groups of adults to their sanctuary where howler monkeys recover and hopefully become well enough to return to the jungle after suffering trauma from uninsulated power lines. It will break your heart then warn it as you meet these lovely people and the even lovelier animals. More

We found out about Sibu Sanctuary while talking with another tourist couple, who highly recommended visiting before leaving Costa Rica. This turned out to be one of the major highlights of our visit. Steve and Vicki showed such hospitality, welcoming us into their home, teaching us about the monkeys and their goals for the sanctuary. We even got to help... More

As an animal lover I had high hopes for this visit to the Nosara Wildlife Rescue and every one of those hopes was far exceeded. Steve and Vicky who run this sanctuary basically take you into their world and into their home and really give you both an education about the land, their mission and work and the monkeys. This... Our B&B in Nosara told us about the work of the Sibu Sanctuary. Vicki and Steve, a wonderful couple, started this non-profit over a decade ago to help the howler monkey's being mamed, burned, and killed from the increasing number of power lines being built throughout the Costa Rican Pacific coast. Their love and passion are remarkable! The 50 acre... More

Vicky and Steve are amazing in their tireless efforts to help the local wildlife around Nosara. The howler babies, who are orphaned by losing their mothers to uninsulated electric wires, are well cared for by this hardworking, loving couple. We went there in July for the first time and couldn't wait to go back in December. The monkeys seem to... More
