SO having been to the Tiger Temple in Thailand who according to me seem a little doped up, I was not expecting much at this visit though was very excited to meet Lions close up. Must say, was totally surprised. The lions are really healthy and most importantly awake and alive and very active. The trainers there were really friendly,... More

The early lion walk was great as it was a small group and probably cooler than later in the day. The lions were amazing, but my favourite was the cheetah encounter where we were allowed to sit and stroke them whilst they purred like domestic cats. If there is just one place you visit while in Mauritius I strongly suggest... More

We went on the morning tour and went with only 3 other couples. It really is a once in lifetime thing to do and its great to say you have walked with a lion but I did feel sad for them in that making them jump off of high stones when all they wanted to do was lay down. The... More

When I heard this was something you could experience whilst in Mauritius, I could not resist. When we arrived we had a safety briefing and then went to wait for the arrival of the lions!! I must admit I was a bit apprehensive at the start but once they walked along to greet us I was fine!! It was an... More

Went with my 2 daughters in their 20s and had an unbelievable experience. Hard to believe that we actually walked with wild lions. I even pulled the tail of the lion. The whole experience was quite safe as it was very professional, with 3 trainers, also a photographer. Our main guide wasJohn, very professional and funny. Kept the group relaxed.... More

We went walking with the lions for a once in a lifetime experience and I wish I had thought about it more logically rather than the experience I wanted. We were a group of around 12 We walked at 11.00 am. After signing disclaimer forms and a safety briefing we walked to meet the lions. We were told they would... More

We walked with the lions first thing in the morning at 9.15. The guide we went with was dare who was really cool and really put us at ease before we started and was very professional throughout the walk. We were greeted by two female lions who were so playful and interactive. We were able to stroke touch and literally... More

This was amazing, I highly recommend it but go for the walk with the lions not the interaction, as you get more interaction in the walk. The lions were truly amazing and to be with them in their natural habitat was out of this world. Better than a safari, we even got to see the new cubs.
