Enjoy stunning woodland, wetland and coastal scenery and close views of a wide range of wildlife, including many rare species. Families can begin their journey of discovery in the Wild Zone, or build a den in the Wildwood Adventure. The nearby Discovery Centre is perfect for school visits, birthday parties and exhibitions. Self-guided activities include a free explorer backpack to borrow, and there's a regular programme of events in school holidays. Seasonal wildlife highlights include: spring birdsong, nightingales and booming bitterns and nesting avocets; summer butterflies, flowers and nesting terns; autumn migrants, red deer rut and colour; winter ducks, evening roosts of birds and Christmas shopping. Volunteer guides are often available to help you identify Minsmere's varied wildlife.

Minsmere is a beautiful place to spend a day in any season. there is a lot to see and the scenery is lovely. We were lucky enough to see a murmur action - masses of starlings flying together, swirling through the sky and making interesting patterns while they find the perfect place to land for the night. It was truly... More

We spent a wonderful day here. Great birds everywhere including close up kingfisher. Not enough time to do everything in November and we know that if we could return tomorrow, all would be different but just as good. The cafe did good coffee and home made food the was well priced and very good. A rough sea on the beach... More

As I’ve reviewed this attraction before, I just want to say how two volunteers made my latest visits memorable for all the right reasons. Mark was the first who I met on the afternoon of 15-11-14. I met Mark in the East Hide and walked with him down to the Sluice. Secondly was Paul who I met on the afternoon... More

We were members of RSPB about thirty years ago but somehow had never been to Minsmere. We like wild birds but we are not fanatics and jsut wanted to check out the starling murmuration. The place is well signposted and we were soon parked in the ample parking facility by the visitor center. We were very impressed by everything about... More

We ended up spending a whole day (and rather a lot in the shop as we felt the urge to acquire binoculars). We've been rspb members for some time, but this was iur first visit to one of their reserves so we weren't sure what to expect or whether we would feel out of place as newcomers among seasoned birdwatchers.... RSPB have made the nature reserve available to everyone by putting excellent pathways for buggies and mobility scooters into the landscape. There is a discovery centre for children and a tea room for those who just want a view and a chat over coffee. It took up most of our day, by choice. A lovely walk on the coast and... More

Perfect to see waders, ducks and the occasional otter, kingfisher, bittern and, of course, the marsh harrier.
