We are not twitchers, but We enjoyed watching the birds from the hides. ( We enjoyed watching the bird enthusiasts lumbering around with mountains of cameras and tripods too. ) Lovely position, so you can get a coast walk thrown in too. Great cafe too, very good cheese scones, warm from the oven.

Always a great place to explore - whatever the weather (which was great this time !). Hadnt been for 20 years and was impressed by the changes.

Great for wandering and looking for birds and seeing the bittern at island hide. One of the best of the RSPB sites. The very busy café could possibly do with being enlarged judging by the people queueing for food and drink

Thanks for your feedback. It's only two years since we more than doubled the size of our café due to increased demand, and with 80 indoor seats plus a similar number outside it's unusual if you were unable to find a seat. We are aware that at busy times we may have a queue at the till, and we try... More

Minsmere is a wonderful reserve to visit any season..There are always lots of birds to see as well as wildlife. The walks are lovely and varied and the hides great for sitting in to view birds. There is also a great coastal area. One of our favourite days out it has free parking and a good cafe serving hot drinks... More

Spent a great day here. It is very big and the facilities are excellent. Ate in the cafe and it was very good. I noticed it's quite expensive however for non members at £8 per adult and £4 children

This is a big RSPB site with lots of parking, a good visitor centre and many walks and hides. The cafe was very good and the arrival of a stray adder certainly livened things up a bit. We did some of the walks and visited a few hides but did not make it to the coastal area. As ever the... More

Although £8 per person may appear a little high, the money contributes to the excellent site. What a contrast between the coast, wetlands, water and woodlands. Every volunteer was helpful enthusiastic and a joy to chat with. Plenty of hides to sit and watch with bird enthusiasts armed with binos and occasional camera attached to telescopic lens. The comradely amongst... More

What a fantastic place to visit. This RSPB reserve is well laid out and with ample parking. The staff are so helpful and knowledgable and nothing is too much trouble. There is so much to see from a flying Bittern to a wasp spider. The site offers a variety of environments from costal to inland words. Great hides are numerous... More

My favourite RSPB reserve has improved beyond measure with a great welcome. It appears that the days of surly, disinterested, uninformative staff at the front desk are finally gone! The reserve itself remains superb. The addition of engaging staff at the front desk - we were asked if we had been before, what we were hoping to see, were told... More

My wife and I had a day to spare and since it was sunny we decided to visit Minsmere. We are not bird-watching enthusiasts but enjoy the countryside and are always happy to try and increase our education. We headed for the Visitor Centre where we were disappointed to learn that there were no conducted tours on offer ........ just... More

Thanks for your feedback. It is always useful for us to learn what our visitors expect from their visit so that we can work harder to ensure everyone has an enjoyable time at Minsmere. I'd like to emphasise that while binoculars will certainly help you to spot some of Minsmere's birds, they are not needed to see many of our... More
