Most foreign travelers stick to Amsterdam and of course this city takes time to explore and savour, but if you have the time please grant yourself this little present and visit one Holland's largest National Parks called 'De Hoge Veluwe'. It offers a wonderful mix of natural landscapes, architecture and culture. The park can be entered by car through three... More

We visited the park with our 2 kids, 7 and 4. Rented a tendom bike (10 e) for the young child. The ride was very relaxing and the view was nice, and we really enjoyed it. The kids also enjoyed the playgrounds on the way.

We really enjoyed riding the "white bikes" that are on loan to visitors without charge. You can ride for hours as there are many paved trails. The landscape is surprising as you start off in lush green forest and then you find sand dunes and vast fields of long grass that make you think of an African savannah. I think... More

Loved the park and the idea of the bicycles. We planned to get there early so as not to miss out on a bicycle, but even when we left at about 2pm, there were still about 10 bikes at the entrance we came in through. Only saw one deer but it was still a wonderful day in a beautiful area.... More

Take your own bikes, as we did, or the free white bikes. Do not go anywhere near Zentrum or the Kroller-M museum (save it for another day) and cycle through the beautiful, unique landscapes. Forests giving way to sand dunes with gnarled Scots Pines. Heaven!

Great setup, you can use the free white bicycles to move around, pleasant forrests. Two attractions inside : the Kroller Muller museum with an impressive van Gogh and impressionists collections and the Hubertus hunting house. You can picknick or eat at the restaurant in the middle of the park. Worth a visit and even a detour.

Woww! Funnnn! Recomend it! We were one group with children and it was amazing. Despite missing the museum and large parts of the park, we enjoyed a lot. The park is huge! I think that even if you will ride 5 hours you will not finish all the roads. In my opinion, if you want to ride and enjoy the... More

The National Park of De Hoge Veluwe is well worth a visit. There are free bicycles available to use for cycling in the park and judging by the numbers there will always be enough for everybody coming in. Cycling in the park is very well laid out and the paths are of Dutch standards (and therefore very good). Choose your... More

Had a lovely trip using the free bikes. Nice to ride in an area without cars and full of nature. Good roads and some hills. Take water and picknick along.

We were traveling back from Palais Het Loo in Apeldorn on our way to our rental in Gouda so we had to stop. We didn't have much time on the first visit so we went back again for a full day with my Dutch friend, Bas. We got our free white bikes, which were in really good shape, and pedaled... More
