We had a lovely day cycling into the centre of the park on the white bikes and visiting the magnificent sculpture gardens. However, when we returned to the visitors' centre for our bikes there were none left. There were lots of people standing around apparently with the same problem. There were lots of bikes put aside because they had flat... More

What could be better than a pleasant bicycle ride though the civililized, safe roads and pathways of this forested park, stopping for several hours at the awesome Kröller-Müller Museum in the park's middle. One could go on and on about the museum itself, with the world's 2nd largest collection of van Gough and a spectacular sculpture garden, but in this... More

This is really a paradise for bicycles. Not only you can grap one for free, you also can bring your own. Tours are from 3kms till 30kms one way. Excellent also for kids as there are children bicycles and the whole park is oriented to them. The museum Downunder will certainly have a lot of success with them. The restaurant... More

The best part of this visit to Holland was our time in Otterlo visiting among other The Hoge Veluwe National Park. We entered the park (8,80 euro for a day ticket) three times. On the afternoon the first day, early morning and midday on day two. We used the White biked (free) to take us around the more than 40... More

The national park sparked my interest when I found out that they had a private collection of Van Gogh paintings displayed at the Kröller-Müller Museum inside the park. That and the thought of sand dunes made it a done deal. The sculptures garden is beautiful and quite involved with many interesting paths that take you to the most surprising exhibits.... More

Get on those white bike and enjoy the ride! They are free!! So many different landscapes in a relatively small area. We really enjoyed it.

Despite what you might think, you will not be able to see so many animals as expected because they tend to hide and keep distant from people, of course; but nevertheless, it's really worthy to come here and take a trip with one of the lovely white bikes freely available at each entrance. The ticket is approx. 8 euros pp.,... More

I was afforded a unique opportunity to visit what's called the Green Gem of the Netherlands (De Hoge VeLuwe) with my daughter. You should know there are three opportunities to enter the park but we only knew about one and walked the just under 7 miles from the entry to the art museum and gardens including the second largest collection... For us, the highlight of Hoge Veluwe is the free bicycles. There are over 40km of bike paths within this stunning national park. No matter how many herds of tourist arrive, there are always plenty of bikes available for free use! We recommend taking a backpack full of picnic goodies ;) TIP: if you are staying in the area for... More

Beautiful park, free bicycles, Kroller Muller museum inside the park. An easy day trip outside of Amsterdam. A favourite get away to breath.
