Castle has been recently renovated then someone thought given the history of the castle and the area it would be good to set it up as a Pirates exhibition.. kind of well done and the kids we saw there seemed to like it. As a grown up you won't get much out of it. Views from roof are good but... More

It seems that one minute you see it, the next you don't. From a distance, it doesn't look that impressive and as you drive up the easy, winding and not too steep road to it you think that it's not actually very high. It's only when you do reach it that you realise you are quite high up on the... More

We haven't been in the Castle, but we walked all around the edge of the extinct volcano it is perched on. Fab views across the Island. Lots of wild flowers and insects up there too, and of course, interesting geology. Well worth a visit if you don't mind heights.

Thank goodness this museum is only €3 to get in or this would be a completely different review! Very small museum, no historical artifacts at all. You can walk round the whole thing in 30 minutes. Amazing views from the top.

The castle is located on the edge of the crater of volcano Guanapay. Originally a large tower was built in XV century then was enlarged during XVI century as the refuge for local population from the attacking pirates. In the XVII century the castle lost it's defensive importance due to construction of new fortifications in the Port of Arrecife. Currently... More

Accidentally stumbled upon this place as we were driving around the island. Well worth a visit for the views and was fairly informative about it's history but I would agree with other reviewers that the cost is rather high.

Good views, a bit windy. Pirate museum was fun. Worth a look. Not bad price at 3 euros. Quite a small castle
