We liked the little path to the entrance and the beautiful building. We really wanted to have a tour but this was not possible...

I love to drink Chateau Margaux and made it one of the "visit the wines you drink and love" tours. While I can list many memorable visits at other Chateaux, this was not worth the time. Quick walk around from a disinterested tour guide, perhaps she was just having an off day- I say skip this one.

It is a beautiful chateau and great wine but they have lost touch with reality. I requested a visit with a tasting but was told they only set up such tours for professionals. They provide no tastings to the common people but do offer a cellar tour where you can see the barrels and watch the professionals drinking wine through... More

We met our guide at L'orangerie where she gave us an overview of the property and its history. We walked to the barrel cellar where they were checking levels and toppling off the barrels. Actually seeing part of the lifecycle of the wine process was very special. They are renovating and building a new cellar so we then walked to... More

We were only able to do a drive by since Chateau was closed the Sunday we visited in September. But it was even enough for those who are wine lovers to immerse oneself in their vineyards, and take a picture of this iconic winery producing wines meant to be cellared, then drunk for special occasions. We did stop at two... More

beautiful facility. This is expensive wine, but you see why when you visit the Chateau. Excellent experience, highly recommend.

This is the epitome of "class" in winery visits. Gunvor, who has been in charge of hospitality for as long as I remember (at least the early 90's) is charming, sophisticated, entertaining and educative. The other guides who are slowly taking over from her are following in the same mould. Apart from being a 1st Growth and a beautiful estate,... More

Not easy to get a tour/tasting but if you're offered the chance DO NOT miss it. Through some good fortune we had the chance to tour and taste and it left me understanding why this is one of the top chateaus in the world. The place exudes class. Our guide (who hails from Germany) was very friendly and gave a... More
