i stayed at manikaran guesthouse and the family there is very unfriendly. Never smile, never says hello. The cook comes to drink with the guests doesnt talk then leaves. People felt unwelcome and food was worse than other places.

- Clean and quite - Weekends are too crowded - Weekdays are very nice and soothing - Water is muddy though still worth going in - Boating and Banana rides are available now

Hi Guys! Been here N number of times, i think i may know this place better than my home. Read a couple of reviews and was unhappy by the word commercialized. It does not do justice to this pristine beauty at all. First of all its 5 kms from gokarna town.Travel is by auto if you dont have your own... More

Om is one of three beaches in Gokarna town on the northern Karnataka coast. The other two are Kudle beach and Gokarna beach. Om beach is a dull, lonely place. There are just a few shacks with about 2-3 places to stay. Not a safe beach for a swim. In case you are looking for a happening beach, this is... More

No words to express, very less crowd when we visted , very clean beach and water. Theres a stone bench while getting down the steps and we indeed can viwe the Om shape from this spot clearly. The panoramic view of the sea is beautifull. we played throughout the day ,we had taken a boat ride and happened to spot... More

One of the best and clean beach with boating options available. You can go Swimming but is restricted as sea is deep around here. But like other beaches around Gokarna Beach and water are clean and clear.

Amazed with this beach, no wonder it attracts a lot of foreigners and local tourists who are looking for alternate location to Goa. This is a swimmers paradise, with the beach deep enough upto 4/5 feet immediately from the shore. Enjoyed with the kids spending almost an hour and a half swimming and playing in the waters. Although i'd advise... More

The beach is in shape of hindu symbol "om". For those who know how its written, it has two curves in the "oo". The 2 curves are like 2 different worlds altogether. First one is mostly covered with localites who are there for picnic sort of activity. They will be having fun in the water, sitting on the mats, eating... More

This beach is quite commercialized as compared to the other Gokarna beaches. But you'll get most water sports here. And this beach is slightly pricier than the other Gokarna beaches. Its average. But do trek from here to Paradise/half moon beach. Or catch a ferry.
