OM beach is very good superb place for enjoying and holiday, This beach is called OM, since when we see this beach from the aircraft, it will look like the sanskrit word OM

Agree that the beach is over rated in that there are certainly nicer beaches to be found but if you are looking for a quiet beach and do not mind sharing it with cows and beach dogs than Om is ok. There are restaurants / guesthouses along the back of the beach of the budget variety. People do swim here... More

Really beautiful beach, sunset is fantastic but just be careful as there was so much broken glass on the beach, my husband picked up handfuls of it as we walked along in the morning, such a shame people have to spoil a paradise like this!

Its very crowded and dirty compared to Kudle beach. A lot of shacks and water sports available. Namaste Cafe is another attraction.

Its a nice beach but slightly over rated. There are other better beaches in gokarna. You can take a boat from here to half moon or paradise beach. There is only one eatry here and the place for changing/bath is a bit far at the top. You will any way get dry by the time you walk up there.

It was an easy walk down some concrete steps on to the beach. The beach is like the Om sign hence the name. We thought... More

Highly commercialized owing to good road access! You have a good trek to the kudle beach which is fun! But otherwise, i wouldn't recommend this beach

This was the first time I had been to this beach with my friends... It was the sunset time, what an amazing sight... I fell in love with this place on the spot... Silent, Peaceful, clean, Amazing.! If you have not been here, you have missed something in your life.!

Expect cheap and simple housing in straw huts (250-800 rupees). Classic indian tourist restaurants and fairly uncrowded beach. Lots of Indians during weekends (female sunbathers should expect to be stared at and have their photo taken at the beach). There is also a very big amount of people selling necklaces meaning that it is very difficult to read 5 pages... More
