Been here a few times with the kids. Very interesting and brilliantly laid out. WW1 trenches are well done. Always something different to see and lots of things for the kids to do.

Thourghly enjoyed our visit to the tank museum. There was plenty to see with the added interest of 'The Fury' film just coming out. Will need to go back to explore more. The only downside was The Restaurant, very disappointing ! But that shouldn't detract from the museum itself. Maybe just a bad day for the cafe.

Actually I've been coming here for longer than I care to remember, and a modest part of the collection is younger than me! Nowadays I often travel abroad for my annual tank injection! And I have to say that Bovington is undoubtedly aworld class tank museum! As a very partial Brit, I thoroughly endorse the view that Britain is the... More

Went on a special Tank Experience Day, which proved great fun. Enjoyed by all and if you're not a Tankie to start you will be after this! Included driving an APC, being driven in a Tank in the arena, sitting in a WW1 Mark 1, and an interesting tour of the well laid out Museum inc. the WWI trench mock-up,... More

Although it's in a fairly remote place the museum is a must if you're in any way interested in militaria . It has a "reconditioning section" which is a massive shed with hundreds of tanks from both wars right up to present day , all waitng to be brought up to display standards . The main museum is full to... More

Overall, a attraction to visit with my army mates. The number of tanks, spreading from WWI to present day was extraordinary. They were innumerable. The additional segment on Afghanistan was a nice touch; it was nice to contrast the living conditions of Helmand with the Trenches in the WWI section of the museum. As other reviewers have pointed out, however,... More

Realy enjoyed the visit, especially the WW1 part and the Battlefront Afghanistan section, £12.50 is quite good value given its an annual pass as you really could spend hours upon hours here I would certainly recommend this museum for a visit. I do have a few gripes though unfortunately, but I hope it gets seen as constructive criticism rather than... More

This museum is open all round the year and is good for a wet day visit as most is under cover (though on a chilly day in November we needed our coats for some of the sheds). My husband is writing an article on tanks, so we had a special interest, and he was certainly not disappointed, though I can... More

My family and I visited London for a week. We took a day trip to the Tank Museum and had a great time. It must be one of the biggest tank museums in the world. We took advantage to join the free tank history tour. Tom was the guide and was full of knowledge. We didn't have a car so... More

It took some time to drive down to Bovington from Reading but for just over £12 annual entrance fee its well worth it. There is plenty to see whether it's the history of tank development, the WW1 trenches and tanks, the tank used in the Fury film or the reconstruction of the Afghanistan camp. When you think you have seen... More
