Sometimes there are museums that completely surpass expectations, and this was certainly one of those. Admittedly there are A LOT of tanks, though there are other aspects where this can certainly bring a youngsters concept of what the war was like... with some walk-through areas for France and the trenches... Parking is free, and there are a lot of tanks... More

We had an excellent day out. The only problem was, we couldn't go on the Vehicle Ride, as they stopped them at 1200 hrs because they had an Event starting at 1300 hrs; the rides were not re-starting until 1400 hrs, and we couldn't stay that long. (It was my own fault that we missed out, though, as I hadn't... More

We visited as a family in the school holidays, we all had a really good day and the two girls 6 and 10 enjoyed doing the easter egg trail. The children also enjoyed the outside play area and the activity area. The tank displays in the arena are a must to see. All of the staff were very informative and... More

Visited with my son who is currently in a wheelchair due to an accident. The whole museum is very wheelchair friendly and there wasnt really anywhere he couldnt go. We had a thoroughly enjoyable day and as it was the easter holidays there were extra activities available and a tank display in the outside arena. The restaurant is a little... More

All four of us had a fantastic day at the museum. We and our two daughters (13&10) loved doing the trails and discovering more about the tanks and the history. There is a huge amount of information and we could have easily spent all day just reading and learning. The new warhorse section is excellent. The facilities are great and... More

What a fantastic day, from the moment we arrived to the moment we departed was filled with excellence. I have not enjoyed myself so much for many years. The welcome was a fantastic start to an action packed day, and all the staff were wonderful to all of us, stopping to talk to us whenever their busy schedule allowed. The... More

What a fabulous day. Couldn't keep my husband away!!! We went when they were running the Tiger & gave a fantastic display of this and other tanks. Very informative. We felt the cafe could have been better & was a little pricey for what was on offer but the museum itself is amazing.

Thoroughly enjoyable (5 hour!!) visit to the museum. Something for everyone, activities for the kids, demo's of the tanks. Not so much detail that it's boring but enough so as not to be sensasionalist. Fab, will defo be back

We have a nine year old who is inexplicably obsessed with the Second World War. He has a particular interest in tanks - so this was the obvious Easter holiday treat. He loved it. He knew every tank, and loved seeing them all. Luckily for his little brother, who has no interest in tanks, there were some Easter crafts. We... More

Four of us went to the tank museum on a Saturday and it was just great. Loads of very helpful and informative staff. Loads of super tanks of every shape and size you can imagine, and some you can't! Imagine my surprise when we were told over the tannoy that they were driving a Tiger tank round the arena. A... More
