This was really a fun and interesting activity to do. However, if you are a beginner rider, do be warned that it might be a little scary at first. There was a girl in our group that was very timid and almost gave up before we even started. The horses are very gentle and obedient, but might get a little...

My girlfriend and I did the 3.5 hour horse trek on our first morning in New Zealand, and we couldn't have started our trip better.

We were very impressed with the setup and introduction to the horse trekking . We were given a full brief on how to ride ! The children were very well looked after and throughly enjoyed the 1 hour horse trek with amazing scenery over looking Lake Tekapo .
