Enjoyed a great Sunday service, just happened to be there 80th anniversary of the church so made it even more special. Thanks to the locals for your warm reception.

This is a very lovely historic place. Nice to sit and experience a piece of history. Lovely view from the rear and front. Must see.

The church is tiny. It is stone built and bring out the magnificence of the giant lake and majestic mountains behind it. Take a look at the border collie statue next to the church which is a tribute to the dogs' contributions to life in the area.

I should have visited here early in the morning or late at night. There are too much group traveler who take photos. No tranquility any more.

A quick 4min stop in visit is more than enough for this tiny church. The surrounds of the church is what makes it beautiful, without the lake front location it wouldn't be much to look at. No photos allowed inside the church.

The stone construction and type of architecture gives one an idea of the period when it was constructed. The church is able to accommodate about 50 people. Members of... More

Nothing special. Just a small church on Tekapo. Pictures make it look better than it really is in my opinion.

The views are completely breathtaking. The lake changes from silver blue to a range of other blue colours and the flowers when out add so much. The stone church is also gorgeous. However, despite the many, many tourists inside it is rather off putting when "told" in no uncertain terms not to take photos as this is a church. Rather... More
