Outstanding hour in the air flying round the mountains in the South Island We had a perfect morning, spent almost an hour in the air looking at mountains, glaciers, could see both sides of the range to the Tasman and the Pacific. Our pilot Phil was perfect - just the right amount of commentary, happy to just stay quiet as... More

I cannot recommend this flight or the company highly enough! I asked them for a *special flight* with a drop off at Franz Josef on the other side of the Southern Alpes, and not only did they make it possible, they turned it into a wonderful experience! The staff is extremely friendly and professional and I had a great time... More

Undoubtedly an Air Safari flight is the best way to see Mount Cook, and fully appreciate the glaciers, peaks and lakes in this part of the Southern Alps. Every aspect of our flight was exceptional; the welcome, airport facility, briefing, the flight, and in flight information. As proposed by the proverb “A picture is worth a thousand words” I attach... More

We had booked our Mt Cook, Glaciers and Milford Sound flight some time ago. These attractions are so weather dependent. We arrived on a bright sunny morning just before nine and enjoyed one of the most memorable experiences of our lives. Four of us were taken up in a plane with large square windows which proved excellent for taking pictures.... More

We booked a flight with this company over Mount Cook and the glaciers. There were only five of us on the flight plus the pilot. It was definitely worth every penny! The views were amazing and the pilot gave a great commentary throughout the flight. He did warn us that there might be too much cloud to see the glaciers... More

Flew with Air Safaries with my wife on the 10.30am flight. Each passenger had their own window seat with ample leg room. Great views, camera opportunities and commentary from the crew on the Nomad aircraft for about an hour over the mountains, lakes and glaciers. Not cheap but worth it.

I took a trip today on Air Safaris. There were only 5 passengers on the flight. Matt the pilot was excellent pointing out key features. The flight was very smooth so I could take pictures out of the large windows. An unforgettable experience!

i have struggled on prevIous scenic flights elsewhere but this one was suitable even for one who suffers from flight nausea. The plane was also well suited for photography from the air of the peaks and glaciers.

Beautiful, incredible flight over the Southern Alps and glaciers. Amazing views. The flight and crew were great and well organized. Check early as the weather can change very quickly, the booking office will advise the best times.
