This is one of the most beautiful beaches I have been to. As beautiful as Key West in Florida (USA). The beach is very clean and there are many different options of tours there. But the city of Maragogi is a little messy and dirty, the only problem.

You can stay a couple of days in Maragogi or just drive from Maceio early in the morning... But you MUST arrive early, before the tide rises, if you want to go snorkeling in the coral. The water color is of an amazing green and it is warm. You can go to the corals by speed boat (Lancha) or by... More

At the end of the beach there is the jonction of the efluent of a small river coming down from the hills, there you find the best hotel of this beach: Camurim Grande Pousada a perfect Paradise in confort, service and food.

The reef off of Maragogi is beautiful although the snorkling isn't great. I didn't see a huge amount of fish. The beach is nice, but there are jellyfish in the water and on the beach. Several people were stung while I was there.

The main attraction of Maragogi Beach is the tour to the "Gales". The place is a coral reef barreer some miles from the coast. The water is clear green and warm. Maragogi, as most of the places in the brazilian northeast is sunny most of the year, and even when it is reaning the temperature doesnt change much. A good... More

The thing that impressed us the most was the water. It is very pleasant to be in for a long time. It's warm, quite calm and not too deep. The restaurants and bars around are nice too but beware of the children walking around trying to con you or steal from you. At night it can get VERY dodgy so... More

blue sea, coconuts and multicolor litlle boats! Not too busy, brasilian football, bars. Possibility to go diving with a restaurant, to rent a boat or buggy. Or just walking et swimming is good!

i liked the beach and the town better than the boat ride to the reef. The beach is big and long. People like to walk on the beach and by the shops. It has the feel of a small resort town. A visit to the offshore reef is nice for pictures.

This place is unbelievable... It's literally a natural pool. When you put your feet on the sand in the middle of the ocean and see everything crystal clear, and all the fishes come close to you (cause they are use to humans feeding them, of course), it's great. The boat Crüe give us fish food and they come eat out... More
