While staying at the marvelous Finca Adalgisa, we took a cooking class with Cristina. It was one of the best things we did on this holiday. Cristina is a natural teacher--- warm, funny and a marvelous chef! The meal was amazing and we all learned how to cook an astonishing meal over fire! We absolutely loved Cristina and the whole... . . . .and you learn to do it yourself! Cristina and her staff are warm and welcoming. The class is informative and interactive. And after a few sips of wine, everyone wants to participate, so don't be shy to do this amazing event. You can be hands-on or an on-looker. She provides all the menus at the end of... More

This was absolutely fantastic. It's like on a TV cooking show, just much better, because you can cook yourself. The best beef I've ever had. Cristina is not only a great cook but also a great teacher. I tried her tricks at home, and they worked! Absolutely wonderful. Great scenery, wonderful people, great wine. You can hardly ask for more.

We did it and will do it again, when we fly next time to Mendoza! This were the best evening, we had during our trip. Not only the nice instructions by Christina, also the mouth-watering preparation and the great food: so delicious and yummy – muy rico! She prepared for me special veggie Empanadas, because I am vegetarian and also... More

The most wonderful way to spend an evening in Mendoza - sitting under the trees next to the asado (barbeque) while Cristina explains and demonstrates how to make delicious Argentinian food in her exuberant and engaging manner. Of course, the best part is that you get to eat it all afterwards. I can't wait to try the recipes we were... More

I decided to splurge and sign us up for this class because I love to cook. It was fantastic! Cristina is very sweet- she will tell you her English isn't fantastic, but she really is wonderful with it. As others have said, the class is mostly demonstration. We had the opportunity to help out once or twice, and being a... More

Unfortunately, during our stay the chef was off sick, so Susan and I were not able to attend a class. However, everyone who was staying at the Finca and who had attended the class raved about it: so I thought that I should add that to the comments here. In the absence of the chef we had a light meal... More

The empanadas were the best I've ever eaten. Imagine an outdoor clay oven and bar in front of a small vineyard... the smell of a perfectly cooked steak, free flowing wine, even the fresh garlic in the chimmichuri sauce wafting up in the air... Not much hands on stuff, but that suited us. What a lovely, decadent night. If I... More
