Our kids love Martin Mere. Loads for them to see and do and a great walk round. A lovely play area, canoe ride, welly walk as well as plenty of bird watching facilities. We are members which works out great as we can go as many times as we like at no extra cost. Would be expensive for a one... More

Great day out for adults and children alike, from the minute you walk through the door until you leave at the end of a busy day its great! Children love coming along to see and feed the birds (and Otters) and learn all the way around the wetlands centre. We visited yesterday Children loved taking part in the discovery trail... More

Nice day out when the weather is good, very family friendly. The price is a bit dear just to see water fowl, but as our kids are under 16 they can get in for free with a Blue Peter badge per full paying adult, so it wasn't too bad. If you were to visit frequently it would be worth investing... More

We visited on Bank Holiday Monday and although there were lots of people there, it didn't seem over crowded. It is very accessible with a pushchair and two young children walking. Our children are aged 4, 2 and 9 months and they all enjoyed it. They loved feeding the birds (£1 a bag) and generally exploring. The Wild Walk provided great... More

Nothing you cannot see for free in any decent park with a lake. You follow the paths round. Kids loved it but spend your money on a picnic and go to a decent park. Play are small and over run. Not what I expected. Guess it's great if you'te a twitcher.

Went here with my boys and all I can say is what the hell are we paying for?????? It's like walking round Heaton park or any park with a lake and ducks !!!! Except you have to pay £12.50 per adult and £9.50 per child!!!! There is a tiny otter bit with no otters to be seen ? And a... More

We are sorry that your visit did not live up to your expectations. We do however feel that we offer more than a walk around a park. We have an extensive wetland bird collection, including flamingos and many endangered species, and the otters which put on a good show every day, especially at feeding times (we are sorry that you... The wildlife part is excellent but for us ( 2 over 65s ) the restaurant is average at best. If you only want a light lunch then the choice is poor. On two days the Soup was tasteless - in fact their Leek and Potato soup was brown and if I had been blindfolded I couldn't have told you what... More

Went here on Saturday. Weather was nice and it wasn't too busy as we didn't arrive until about 4pm. Had a nice walk around all the ponds. Hand feed some ducks and other birds. The hides were amazing, great views and a wide variety of birds and plants. The otters are very cute and seem very happy in there inclosure.... More

What a great place this is. You can look at the huge variety of birds on offer... They are sorted by continent. You can chill out in the bird hides... So many to choose from. The playground is great for little ones (and adults). We went twice in two days (travelled from Wirral) and then bought a season ticket.
