I have been going here since it opened on and off. I visit a lot more now. It is an expensive place to visit if not a member with entrance fee being around £10, makes buying a membership worthwhile. The café it good too with scrumptious scones. Very busy though around school half term time.

We are members of the WWT and this is a fantastic reserve. The hides offer good opportunities for a great selection of species throughout the year, although autumn is probably the most spectacular with tens of thousands of Pink Footed Geese. The display pens also offer a great opportunity for photography. Very friendly staff and a very nice restaurant next... More

I started with a visit to the "zoo" side of the site. ducks and water birds from all continents with detailed name plaques. Watching the Asian Otters being fed was a wonderful site. after a lovely lunch in... More

We have just had Christmas Lunch in the restaurant here in a pre-booked group of about 50. The The food was a delight - well cooked, well presented and well served. The chocolate mousse for dessert was unsurpassed. Because we had a group booking we discussed our requirements beforehand with head chef Barry, and he came up with the menu... More

We've been WWT members for a few years now so it's about time for a review. We first joined as a family a few years ago during a visit, good value if you use it. We had cheap binoculars at first but they are essential IMHO, be prepared to learn, some of the wild birds aren't always easy to spot... More

Have just spent five days here enjoying the peace and tranquility. Sitting in the hides watching the geese, swans and ducks as well as hundreds of other birds is such a pleasure and leave me with a big smile on my face. Spent time wandering happily through the collection, enjoying feeding the birds and getting up close to so many... More

Came here as I really wanted to go. First impressions was a little expensive but we spend a full day here. Whilst at reception you get a map and can also buy bird feed which is great and very fun. This will occupy the children aswell. There are many things to do here like pond dipping which is extremely fun... More

My first visit to MMWC was to do otter watching at night. Fascinating. Lovely to watch and the visit was enhanced by a couple of splendid wildlife guides who were very knowledgeable. I shall certainly return to see more of the animals and birds, as I did not realise how extensive the site is.
