The coastline of Roquetas de Mar stretches from the north-eastern edge of the Punta Entinas Natural Park to the harbour of Aguadulce. It has nine expansive beaches in its 15km length. All have blue flag status. Playa Serena is one of the quietest (hence its name). A promenade runs the whole length of the beach and there are a few... More

Serena Beach is a shingle beach with play areas under palm trees and dotted with beach bars. At night you will see fishermen fishing from the beach with their rods. The beach is very deep and so rarely appears busy even in the summer months. Beautiful views out to Agua Dulce and Almeria. Tranquil and beautiful.

What a lovely quiet beach, room for everyone and their dog, miles of gently shelving sand with plenty of sunbeds.

Not just Serena but the whole of Roquetas beaches, They are so well laid out and clean that they must put many to shame. They are not just clean but have well kept boardwalks with many "granny" gyms, and wheelchair beach accesses. If I have 1 complaint it is there are no restaurants along the front only cafe bars, all... More

Lovely clean beach with plenty of sunbeds 4 euro each and a parasol. Beach is cleaned each morning. The sea can be rough and shelves quickly so children need supervision. There are water sports available.

The beach was clean everytime I went there but it was very crowded. You could hire laying chairs for the day. There were also activities you could do like jetsking etc

Love this quite beach. Sand is quite coarse which means it doesn´t kling to everything, but it makes it harder to walk on.

If you want Benidorm, Roquetas is not! Its a lovely Spanish family holiday destination. Lots of free space on the beaches which stretch for miles. Lovely authentic Spanish restaurants and tapas bars with a few good English bars too.
