What a fabulous beach. Long stretch of thick shingle until you get near to the ayers edge where lovely sand takes over. We were here in July and had to wear beach shoes as it was so hot, even on the boardwalks. Sea was warm and clean but in some days had quite a rip about it. Promenade was clean... More

This is a very large beach area and not to commercialised. There are no high rise hotels directly on the beach side just residential properties. Good for walkers. You can stop for a drink as there are bars. There are restaurants and bars with plenty of choice on the main road which is located one block behind the beach. A good... More

Great sun beds very comfy although the sand is gravely. The water was very cold and because of the wind very rough some days. Not many amenities on the beach but good for sun bathing but bring your own drinks

Wide beach which was mainly empty. The sand is a bit gritty, verging on shingle. The waves come in hard and there were kite surfers around

It is lovely and clean and has local people renting out sunbeds for the day. Little cafés are also excellent with good beer and tapas

The 'roads' need to be taken at a crawl. There are severe humps, deep puddles and rocks. There are lots of waterbirds to see (through binoculars) including flamingoes. If you can find your way through the maze, you can end up on Serena Beach which is a designated nataturist area.
