lake garda is without doubt a beautiful place; the lesser known bresciano side is to discover . Interesting is also the inland area - mount rust is great - we spent a long weekend on the lake visiting all the typical sites - catullo, sirmione, vittoriale - but the best things were the farms, the scenery, the small restaurants. When using the lake ferries to get around, consider using the `Rapido` service. Sure it costs a bit more but you get to see more places on the lake in about the same time as it takes to go from Garda to Malcesine on the ordinary (and often hot and packed) ordinary craft. its a good way to spot destinations...
