La Cucina del Gusto is a great place to take classes and learn techniques and some really good Italian dishes. But what makes any visit special is Chef Carmen. She explains things very well and is quite the entertainer as well. We like it so much, we're already planning to go back!

It is hard to put into words how amazing Carmen and her cooking school is. The passion Carmen has as a chef is refreshing and after many years of travelling to Italy, I have never tasted such incredible food. Cannot recommend you visit and book a cooking class with Carmen enough! A MUST for a visit to Sorrento.

A Must Do while in Sorrento! Don't miss out on a perfect experience with the owner, chef Carmen, as she takes you on a Neapolitan cooking experience that beats all. As you enter her cooking school you are greeted by a true host with an amazing personality that will have you so excited to learn and listen to her story.... More

What a wonderful experience! I didn't know I really can cook until my several classes with Chef Carmen! Her school is so beautiful and classes so easy and fun! We cooked andlaughed and drank and ate and kept drinking and laughing! I even remembered how to cook at home! This is a must do in sorrento or visiting the amalfi... More

Chef Carmen makes it happen! This is meticulously organized with a generous Italian ease and flow to it. Carmen is a consumate instructor with a very large constant sprinkle of humor spread throughout. A lot of fun !! This is a visit for couples, famiily (a bit older kids), solo AND business.

I spent a morning with Carmen teaching me how to cook gnocchi and pizza. I had so much fun and learnt a lot. Carmen 's enthusiasm is infection. This lady really knows her stuff. The wine flowed and I learnt to cook gnocchi that just tasted delicious. I will be inflicting this on my family and friends the minute I... More

Chef Carmen was great. She was funny and knowledgeable, and you can tell she loved what she was doing. She comes from a long line of Italian chefs, and has years of experience working in four star restaurants and as a personal chef. Her kitchen was modern and spotless. She buys the ingredients for your food class fresh everyday, and... More

My wife and Daughter have just been on the cooking course today and found it a fantastic experience. They spent the day preparing the four course meal with Chef Carmen and her assistant. They found the day extremely useful with great input from Chef Carmen on how to prepare the Italian dishes correctly. Chef Carmen is a great personality and... More

When we booked the six-day cooking school, Chef Carmen was holding classes at the Oasi Olympia Villa in Sant' Agata but now she is set up in her own brand new cooking facility in downtown Sorrento. We could have taken a cooking course at the Oasi, but decided to stay with Chef Carmen and we're glad we did. While we... More

When in Italy, one has to experience an evening with Chef Carmen. The night is like going over to an old friends house for dinner, where you eat, laugh and drink. Then you actually learn how to cook like an Italian, unlike most cooking classes you stumble upon. I cook all the time, and like good local food, this class... More
