This course needs many changes and to the Donald's credit they are underway. 6 Greens & 8tees will be blown up and rebuilt this fall. The Course in it's current configuration like other Greg Norman Designs has way to severe greens and the course lacks the continuity required for a cohesive design, Wait a year before playing it. The Donald... More

Played 6 courses while in Ireland, the others being Lahinch, Ballybunion, Tralee, Waterville, Old Head. Would rank DOonbeg at the bottom of this list. Was certainly a nice course, challenging, etc., but without the history or maturity of the others and somewhat a 'manufactured' as opposed to natural course. Imagine Trump will pour money into the course and over time... More

Having first visited Doonbeg GC in 2004, and most years since, this year our party of 12 were interested to see what changes the recent change of ownership had made. The answer being that apart from the somewhat ostentatious change of name little else has changed as yet. All staff remain highly trained and extremely helpful; catering remains better than... More

Spent 3 days at doonbeg on a golf trip Accommodations were outstanding Food was good but not excellent Golf was wonderful with excellent caddies Staff at the facility was very gracious and no request was too small Would request cottages near the main lodge since makes it easier to get around Lahinch only 30 minutes away for another round Overall... Our family recently spent two days in one of the villas at the Doonbeg golf course. These units are well set up having four identical master suites with elegant ensuite bathrooms so they are perfect for a foursome not wanting to argue over who gets the best bedroom. There is a large lounging area with a fireplace and well equipped... More

We played Doonbeg Golf Club in mid May as a two ball that teed off relatively early in the morning and were the only ones on the course for at least two hours. We really enjoyed the course and the first hole is a special opening hole (if they could only do something with the maintenance building on the right).... More

This is now Trump International Ireland. It's a 5 star resort and they'll actually use their 2 helicopters to ferry their guests from the airport to the resort. The landing pad is behind the 18th green next to the hotel. There are also villas for rent. We had some problems driving into the resort as it's on the coast and... More

On a recent holiday to Clare myself and 2 girl friends decided to treat ourselves to some spa treatments in Doonbeg. We had a lovely relaxing day and all agreed that the massages were the best that we had ever had ( and reasonable value). We will definitely come again, and stay for a longer break. One note for Spa... More
