Stayed at Doonbeg for a weekend, whilst there we visited the golf bar as it is the only place to go during the day for a drink or some food. The staff are divided, some very nice and others just dam ignorant and show only interest in the tips they receive. Whilst there, two members of staff actually spoke poorly... More

Donald Trump recently purchased Doonbeg Golf Course for a song. From the moment you enter the driveway you know you are somewhere special. The staff are so friendly and helpful and cannot do enough to help you. The course itself is a great challenge and when the wind gets up you really know you are on one tough course. The... More

Nice place but iver rated for the price. Golf course good but nothing special. Bunkers interesting. Accommodation good but nothing oyt of this world. Food good. Only place to est was Darby's for lunch and evening meal. Long room open for breakfast. Good. Have stayed in just as good four star accommodation with golf courses. Nice to have experienced same.... We were greeted in the pros shop by Brian - an cheerful individual that made us feel very welcome and that we were his only golfers on the day. Darbys provided us with sustenance before we headed out to the course - alas storms from the previous week had made it impossible to play the full course - though that... More

We had never played in Ireland before so were looking forward to this course. A few things that we would suggest for a great day on an excellent course. 1. Hire a caddy. The one we had (Kevin) was rather poor and spent a lot of time on his cell phone. However, you will find that you will enjoy this... More

This course is another course that has great holes and then some quirky holes. The course has some great straightforward links holes but then it has some holes where you just shake your head (e.g. green with a bunker in the middle of it,) The course is challenging and the bunkers are very rough in nature. I think that some... More

You'll enjoy this fantastic links golf course in beautiful County Clare. Brian, the pro and the staff are great. Padraig our caddy was very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. The course was in great shape and was a challenge to play with out being too difficult. I can't wait to return and play it again.

Course is beautiful. Tralee has better views, but holes at Doonbeg are lovely. Caddies were great, as was starter. Rental clubs were excellent.

Doonbeg golf lodges are absolutely beautiful. The food in the golf club house is great. I would love to enjoy a stay in the lodges as they are so nice.
