First the positives. Our guide,Luis, was knowledgable and tried his best to get us to see animals. There were three or four groups and they were talking to each other as to coordinate sightings. The best animal we saw was a kinkachu. We also saw a frog tarantula and sloth. The sloth and her baby were very far away but... More

The property was quite beautiful with lovely views. If you do the night tour, you can go back during the day to take in the vistas. The tour was okay. Saw a few insects. Mainly it was neat to be walking through the forest at night.

We (2 adults, 2 kids ages 10 and 8) visited Hidden Valley for an afternoon hike through the forest. The place was empty except for us, which made for a much quieter walk than the other nature reserves we visited. The trails are still under construction, but what was there was relatively easy to walk. The last little bit of... More

This was one of the best wildlife experiences during our time in the rainforest. We started right before sunset so we got to see many coati (pizote) and even one fall, unfortunatly from a tree. He/she seemed OK, just a little stunned. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the area and all of the animals and insects. Other animals seen... More

We had a brilliant tour through the forest in a small group of 5. We were each given a flashlight and set off along the trails stopping whenever our guide spotted something of interest. Within a short space of time we had seen the neighbouring tarantula, a katydid, sloth, opossum, and green vine snake. Further along the trails we saw... More

The tour was good and the guide was very good. The issue here was that our group had 10 participants. This seemed too large (I seem to recall that the guide was surprised to have 10 as well). For this type of tour group size should have been around 6 maybe 8 at most.

Tour itself was good but we were not picked up from hotel and have to call taxi to join the tour. Shuttle came to hotel 15 minutes early and didn't wait for us. We were told it will pickup other guests and come back - that never happened. After 30 min wait and couple calls we were told we can... More

It was a solid tour. Only negative if there was one is that there are a number of other groups walking around and we criss crossed... More

We had a pretty good time, although worn out and the tour had about 5 other people. Not a lot of animals to see... but the walk was easy so that was a nice surprise. Glad was nice and knowledgeable. This is something nice to add in for a night walk.

We did the Hidden Valley Night tour which was about a 1/2 mile walk. Flashlights are provided and it is a pretty easy walk but is a natural trial with roots. We saw a tarantula, army ants, leaf cutting ants, fireflies, a frog and some birds. The guide discussed the different trees also. While not bad I wish we selected... More
