Good activity if you are elderly or have young children. You get a good view of the cloud forest and it's pretty relaxed. However if you are a bit more adventurous then you will get a bit bored. It's pretty sedate.

The only reason why you would do this is if you're so desperate for a good view -- which could be a hit or miss depending on the weather. We had a 2 yr old with us and still I dont recommend it. A good view of the volcano & lake can be had somewhere else. Hated it.

View of Arenal, on a good day, is tremendous. However for visitors to Costa Rica it is a very expensive trip.
