Owner description: While staying in Monteverde don’t miss the Sky Tram that will lead you up to the Continental Divide and to one of the highest mountains in the area.  Sky Tram is a guided tour where you can have the opportunity to observe the cloud forest outstanding biodiversity, the majestic Arenal Volcano and the Nicoya Gulf. The Sky Trek’s zip lines go from mountain to mountain, allowing you fly through a cable at speeds up to 40 miles per hour and heights of over 520 feet.  There are also 5 observation towers that surpass the cloud forest treetops, providing amazing panoramic views our company has a braking system that was superior to what I'd experienced in other places. The zip linesthemselvesare long and fast, when the clouds cleared, we were able to see the ocean, which was amazing. It is a really great experience.

A very fun experience. Long zip line runs and the friendly staff made it a pleasant experience. It thought it was pricey but worth it. Skytrek was a bit touristy but you will have that at a popular zip line destination.

we had made reservation for the entire package on January 7th 2015 at 7:30 am as we had to leave at noon. We inquired and double inquired if the zipline and tram will work given the adverse weather condition. it was very windy the day before and that day. The lady at front desk ensured us that such weather conditions... More

I was nervous about ziplining but this experience ending up being a great time that I will never forget. The cables and harness feel very safe and the staff is very helpful (and will come out to get you if you get stuck). The ride up the top on the car gets very windy but it is cool to see... More

The kids and adults enjoyed the zip lines. Folks who didn't go zip lining were able to enjoy the gondola. It was one of the highlights of our trip.

Are you religious? Because if you're not, find yourself a God quick my friend. For the Sky Tram will test you and if you're weak of will like myself, leave you crying on your knees for mercy from your newly acquired dear lord. Pros: the Monteverde cloud forests are very pretty and a unique ecosystem to tour. We opted for... More

We took the tram up and zip-lines down and it was so much more professional than another zip-lining experience I had in another country. The guides and equipment were all designed to be as safe as possible, but the experience was still thrilling, it did not feel too tame at all. I only wished I had dressed for the weather... More

My kids and I did not care for the Sky Trek at all. Everything is very controlled, you barely get a feel for what it's like to be in the forest. Even the bridges are made of steel with opaque walls.

Sky Trek in Monteverde has a great reputation that proved to be well-deserved. My wife and I were both apprehensive about zip-lining, but decided to push our personal boundaries. Our kids, ages 19, 17, and 12, had zip-lined at summer camp, but that was a much different experience with short lines, perhaps thirty feet above the ground. Everything about Sky... More
