Steve is a very nice midwestern guy who is growing all kinds of sustainable food etc. on a pretty hilltop location. It's a relaxing, off the beaten path spot to visit. He let our kids pick some fruit and smell the herbs and feed his fish and pigs.

We loved our time at Finca Paraiso, where we stopped in for a farm tour in January of 2015. The owner is a surprisingly modest ex-pat who has built up an impressive little ecosystem of his own in Tambor. We got to feed the pigs and fish, taste all kinds of herbs, fruits and berries, and even spotted a family... More

My wife and I visited finca paraiso (paradise farm) in november 2014 and enjoyed a slice of "off the tourist track" costa rica. Located 4 k from tambor it is a small property in the hills where the owner steve has been creating a "food forest" over the last 8 years. He has created it from scratch and now has... More
