The trip was eventful and were so amazed at the abundance of fish. They were everyware and so colorful. The beach was white and small crabs scurried along the waters edge looking for food. The island was kept clean and had lots of beach area to sunbath.

The island itself was not different from anything on the main land. The water isn't more clear or anything. It is Just a tourist attraction. Snorkeling was the only part I enjoyed. You had to pay for literally everything. Even taking a walk in the island jungle cost you money. The beach had a lot of seashells which made it... More

The most awesome water because no volcanic water reaches in the gulf. Water sports, kind and friendly people. Lots of nature and clean.

The guides in the boats are very knowledgeable. We saw many whales on the boat ride. The guys in the boat watched for whales and dolphins. The snorkeling was great and the lunch on the island amazing. There was chairs to relax in, volley ball, swimming and plenty of son shine to enjoy beach!

We were lucky to go on this tour on a day that wasn't as busy as I've heard it can be. We also went early and were the first group out. Terrific snorkelling at Tortuga island. Our guides Juan and Chelly were great; safe with the boat and great at providing interesting info/facts about the tropical fish and Costa Rica... More

We took a speed boat to the island that cost $65 USD per person. It turned out to be like a water-taxi ride there and back. We were picked up at our hotel (Doubletree) and taken to the boat. The boat took us to the island where we were able to snorkel and check out the fish. We then landed... More

What a gorgeous place to snorkel and then relax on the beach. There are many excursion companies that add your meals for the day in and give you snorkel gear. You'll see some wild life wandering and there is a gift shop on the island to pick up some souvenirs, but be prepared to pay to use the toilet.

long ride on a boat to a overcrouded beach with a very poor lunch, very limited time to spend on a beach and a long ride back! you won't see anything special there, I promise! Spend this money on a few great meals in a good restaurants instead. Don't believe in a wonderful reviews. You can always see it for... More

This island was very clean and relaxing. The water was clear and warm. I loved the coco loco and the fresh catch oysters and scallops right there on the beach. It was a peaceful visit to the island.
