We have lived in Costa Rica for 8 years and had friends visit us from the states and I wanted to take them to a place less touristy and decided to try Rainmaker. At $20 and no crowds it was perfect and what made it even more perfect was the beer that was available on the property. I had already had... More

Perrovida was one of the highlights of our trip. After visiting Rainmaker (highly recommended) our family was leaving and just at the entrance passed a sign for Perrovide: Craft Beer. We stopped and found that a Costa Rican native crafts his own beer in his house out of local fruits, coffee and cocao and the fresh water from the surrounding... More

We drove there to find no beer available. Apparently some guy brews beer somewhere out there in his house then sells it at the Rainmaker office. . There was a single tap on premises but the fellow there had no access. Only the manager has the key. Don't waste your time.

hey man, sorry you had a bad experience....not sure the details of when you came, but we can't be open for alcohol sales nearly the hours that we are open for the park/hike. Sometimes that means hikers want beer at 9am (maybe that was you yesterday? as my wife turned away one customer to a) it being just before 10am... More

I could sit here and write a well articulated and detailed paragraph about how awesome the people and the beer at PerroVida are, but i'm a simple man and quite simply the Beer and the People at Perrovida are awesome. If you like craft beer, you will LOVE PerroVida Beers. If you like darn good people, you will LOVE the... More

Moved here three years ago and was getting so tired of the watery, flavorless Pilsen and Imperial. But Perro Vida? WOW, WOW, WOW. (Hey, isn't that what dogs say when they're speaking in Spanish?) Back on track here... I couldn't decide which beer to try, so I had the tasting flight. Totally awesome! We went right before Thanksgiving, so were... More

A simply delightful beer to enjoy your jungle surroundings! After a nice hike at rainmaker I came to find myself enjoying a nice frosty pint of Perro Vida brew. It was just what I needed and after having one I had to have another. Quite a nice change from other watery alternatives. I would highly recomend it for all beer... More

Totally awesome, all the different flavours are incredible....and they keep coming up with new ones!!! The location is incredible. I went up there on a scouting mission for some business and the scenery grabbed my attention righ off the bat, then I had me a mug of beer (pre-frozen), and ended up staying for practically the whole day. Needless to... More

Pura vida? More like Perro Vida! Best way to unwind from a hike at Rainmaker: Zaguate! With a brew house in the middle of the rainforest, the beer is powered by the water- couldn't ask for a better instance of reduce, reuse, recycle. The people who run it believe in what they're doing: bringing better brews to a beautiful place!

I am a long time local of Costa Rica and just tried this beer. It is awesome. I rarely write reviews on anything, and may still be buzzing from this tasty craft beer, but I am totally impressed and excited that Costa Rica has something new to offer. The brewers obviously have put their time and energy into this bad... More
