the place is a one of a kind. The location is exquisite. You have to walk through a jungle to get to the beach. It's one of the best place for snorkeling and have a relaxing sea bath.

We grabbed a tuk tuk from unawatuna beach and asked to go to Jungle beach. Now we were taken to the smaller one and when we got there were quite disappointed. However we went for a walk across the coast and from there we saw another larger beach. How do we get there? Well from the small beach I swam!... More

Great beach for surfers, but if you're not into surfing, your beach experience will be a bit limited as it's quite rough / strong waves waters. Lovely sunset here in the evenings.

A small beach, just a few meters from Pagoda, is probably not worth a visit. Unawatuna beach is probably busier, but very nice. If you would like to explore beaches, you can find maany really good ones on your way to Mirissa or Tangalle.

Water was pretty cloudy and only real snorkelling is around the rocks at the left hand side of the bay. Slightly more fish than in Mirissa but probably not worth leaving mirissa to come here purely for snorkelling as we did

Lovely walk down but the water had so much rubbish floating in it. Didn't even have a swim. Juice was fine but nothing special.

This review is for Unawatuna beach. Not sure if it is different. Although to reach this beach, you have to drive through forest so I think this the one. Water activities, cafes, bars, expensive as well as medium budget hotels opening to beach.. You name it and I think this beach has it all. Having a big area to itself,... More
