If you like lots of Russians in a small confined space this beach is the place for you. Russians come down and take over the majority of the sunbeds whilsr drinking beer in their speedos and overhanging guts. So if you like that sorta thing then this is a great place to visit. The beach itself is average but a... More

Difficult to get to, but it is a good adventure. The beach though is quite small, and feels commercial. It is also crowded, and we did encounter groups of men who catcalled the young women in our group making us feel unsafe.

We walked down from our hotel. Not the easiest walk with younger children. As all beaches on a Sunday it was very busy with mostly locals. It is a beautiful area but slightly over hyped.

We forgot it was Independence Day; but for the very tired party goers who were on the beach til 04.30 we were blissfully unaware why the place was packed. Music in familial groups; young and old playing games and having fun in the sea and sun, food from the restaurant or picnics from home; this was the best way one... More

It's just a regular beach. Nothing special. We stayed in Hikkaduwa and our friend advised us to go to Jungle Beach. They described it as magical jungle beach. But in reality...no thing special. Don't know what people like here.

Took about 20 mins of walking to reach the beach. Difficult if you have small children, pram or difficulty walking. Quite a steep descent to beach. Very sheltered and water calmer than main beach. There is also more shade. Sun beds I think we're free. Little cafe on beach which is a lot more expensive than in town. Avoid lassi... More

Got the tip about the jungle beach form the locals so we knew we had to go and check it out. Great beach a little bit away from the tourist trail, not as much waves and great water for snorkelling. I visited Sri Lanka with my fiancé and this beach had something for us both, great sunspot for her sun... More

Few sunbeds. Nice surroundings. Rocky water. Swim between the markers to avoid hitting big rocks on the seabed

The beach itself is ok, there is some sunbeds which are free to use if you buy a drink or two from tje restaurant, but its pretty crowded with other tourists. Going into the water can be harsh since alot of big and small rocks + coral is all over the place which easily can hurt if not very careful.... More
