Jungle beach could be a wonderful place but there is a lot of litter placed in the jungle by the bar owners and visitors. This is not right and should have changed asap.

Did the trek to get there only to find that this tourist trap is a few meters of sand filled with cigarette buds and trash - oh, and a bar/shack serving tourist priced beverages. Save yourself the tuk tuk or walk and don't visit this final resting place for rubbish.

I enjoyed the path (took about 30 minutes) to Jungel beach more than the actual beach, because it was crowded. Swimming there though was nicer than at the bigger Unawatuna beach, because the waves were smaller.

Nice cove like setting and far nicer than the main beach, but a little crowded, although we were there in high season, we preferred white jungle beach as it was quieter.

Lovely small bay perfect for swimming only basic beach bar available in area but completely over run with Russian's who aren't the friendliest of fellows traveller's and are loud and rude which ruined our visit we had to leave to escape them.

Lovely little beach, off the beaten track, lovely to swim in the ocean and enjoy the gorgeous natural beauty this area has to offer.

Unawatuna beach is far from the Galle avenue, a quiet beach with many nice restaurants (fresh fish, Italian, indian etc) and bungaloes. We stayed in a room right at the beach, above "yellow cafe". The sunset was magnificent from our balcony: the whole sky was painted red and purple! Next to our room we could find foot massage, breakfast, and... More

We were driving to unawatuna beach but somehow missed the turn and end up in jungle beach. We park a car on a private parking (very cheap) and from there it was 300-400 meters down to the beach. We were amazed! A little beach with white sand, not so many people, beach bar and music on all the time. Fresh... More
